"Umm, sorry, but I think we don't know each other!" Eva scrunched her eyebrows before stating the straight fact.
The mysterious guy laughed a bit at her response and tried to loosen up the tense situation. "Don't worry, I am not a stalker or anything. I just happened to see you dropping your purse outside the office so just thought of helping you with that." He sounded gentle.
"Ohh!" A wide relieved grin appeared on Eva's face as she stared at him. "I am sorry for doubting your intentions. To be honest, so many things have been happening with me lately that...it's been hard to trust anyone. I am sorry." She was apologetic.
"Don't fret, being nice isn't admired nowadays. Well, didn't you want to have ice-cream?" The guy pointed towards the ice-cream truck while replying to her.
