A/N this is how their mother and father met and their eventual demise)
This is the story of a woman. She was an Omega? Her name was Luna Hardy. She had a Heart of pure gold and she didn't hesitate to show it. One day she met a man, an Alpha. His name was Mateo Hamilton.
Luna went on a failed date where she was sitting with the up most patience in a 5-star banquet hall at a table in the far back set for two. She was stood up by her so-called loving boyfriend. Then from out of nowhere she gets a text from him saying that he wanted to break up with her for unspecified reasons. As terrible as it made her feel she had seen it coming for all the signs of him being unfaithful were there. Coincidentally at the same time sitting at the table just across from her was one Mateo Hamilton, he also had just been broken up with by his now ex-girlfriend. While wiping a lavish red wine off his face a One Ms Hardy happened to have seen this. She was invited to sit and talk with him. This ended up with them sitting and talking until the restaurant closed that night.
As they left the restaurant Mateo invited Luna to his house for the night. His reason being that it was getting late even though it was berley 9:00pm. Excepting his kind gesture she accompanied him home and to her surprise he was well off. That didn't bother her. After all she was not a gold digger. She spent the whole night with Mateo. As the weeks went by Luna found herself falling deeper and deeper in love with Mateo not for his money but his personality. To her surprise he fell for her to. He eventually asked her to marry him after dating for 3 years and it only got better from there.
They decided to be wed in the autumn months when it was cooler and less crowded at the Covington garden. There were multi coloured flowers woven into arches that stretched for 60 meters over a stone path surrounded by green lushes' grass. The garden was surrounded by weeping willow trees, the tear drops levies where coloured with red yellows and oranges creating a magical scene.
That morning the sun rose from its slumber. On the blissed day of the wedding she put on her ice blue gown. On the chest and around the dress was hand embroidered flowers that seemed to dance in a sea of sequins. The under layer of the dress was made of the finest luxury silk that had two layers of fine netting that travelled up her torso. Her sleaves were made of white netting with sequins in the shape of leaves scattered around gracefully. Dangling lightly from her ears was a pair of earrings decorated with white flowers and beads creating an elegant persona about her. On this particular day she found her tailer made dress strangely tight around her torso. Then out of the blue she recalled that she had not bleed in three moons so in realising this she rushed to the night sand to retrieve a pregnancy test that she had hidden not two moons prior. Rushing to the ensuite she took the hospital grade pregnancy test. To her astonishment it showed up positive. Luna was ecstatic and couldn't wait to tell Mateo of the marvellous news. In the moment of pure bliss Luna requested that her bride's maid deliver the test to her love and she also requested that she explained the meaning of the situation to him. Luna informed her that she wished to know his response to the news. On her bride maids return Luna could not wait to hear what his response was to the surprise. What scared her the most was the fact that he fainted. It worried her for he may have hurt himself. But she was happy that he understood what she was relaying to him. Luna ended up giggling at the tactics of her soon to be husband. Their wedding day ended up being one to remember for they were not only wed but also found that a little miracle was on its way. They believed that this was the best day of their lives so far. Not long after they returned to their beautiful home for two was to become three or so it seemed. To them everything was starting to fall into place or so it seemed.
Three months into the unforeseen pregnancy and Luna went for a sonagram to find out the gender only to find that there were two lumps on the screen. She was having twins. Luna could not believe her eyes or her ears. The nurse suddenly announced that she believed that the baby's where 6 months along then noticed a white dot where one of the baby's Heart was. Mateo noticed the distress on his wife's face and demanded that she bring in the doctor. The nurse fled the room out of fear of what the distressed Alfa may do to her. The room fell silent after his outburst not long after the doctor entered the room with a calm expression on his face.
He confirmed that she was 6 months and that everything looked fine with the baby. He said that the white dot was nothing to worry about for the babies were healthy. When she reached 7 months, she felt the babies kick and she loved each and every minute of it. Mateo wanted to feel the babies kick so badly so he placed his hand on her belly only for the babies to abruptly stop their actions. At that very moment, all Luna could do was laugh at the look on his face.
8 months into the pregnancy they found that both babies where in a breach position. What made this dangerous situation even worse was the fact that both babies had the cord raped around themselves making an already dangerous situation worse putting both mother and babies into a life or death situation.
She needed to have an emergency c section. The surgeon gave Luna antistatic to stop her from feeling any pain during the operation. The surgeon rubbed disinfectant on the line he was going to cut. Then he made the first cut through the fat and tissue until he reached the uterus. Then he cut open the uterus and removing both babies safely from their mother.
Giving birth to a healthy if underweight baby boy who was an Alpha like his father. The baby girl was the second born but unfortunately, she was an omega. Luna was devastated that her baby girl was an Omega. But then that sweet little angel smiled at her and she realised that she loved them both equally.
Overwhelmed by her joy she didn't notice that she was dying, her Heart strings had been torn in the chaos of the operation. Just before the staff could wheel her to the operation theatre, she had a request for her husband. She asked Mateo to name the girl Yasmin and the boy Ocean. As the staff were finely able to wheel her away for an emergency heart transplant, she screamed to him with tears in her eyes for him to love them both as she would have. As if they were both Alphas.
Mateo was devastated when the doctor told him that his wife had passed away. For a minuscule moment he was lost. He was on the verge of abandoning what was left of his weary Heart. Suddenly his feet started moving on their own in the direction of the nursery. Mateo looked through the glass. A nurse that happened to be with the infants at the time recognised Mateo and decided to show him his son and daughter. Just as Mateo decided there was nothing left to live for, he saw the two babies, a boy and a girl. At that moment he found his reason to live was right in front of him. The last gift he will ever got from his wife was being held by the same nurse that took his perishes Luna for surgery.
Three years had passed since then, Yasmin and Ocean alike had grown into fine children. They were incredibly bright. They said there first word at 10months and where walking shortly after that. By the time they were 2 they could recite the alphabet fluently and could easily count to 100 without a hitch. They never ceased to amaze with how fast they were excelling. But happiness doesn't last forever. As time went on, he found himself in need of money, so he joined the military. It was the best source of income. Which left Mateo with no other choice but to leave his children with their aunt.
She lived in a small 6 room mansion with 4 bathrooms and 2 ensues. She also had an indoor pool with attached hot tub and finally she had a lavish garden filled with sleepy bells, honey suckle and many other breathtaking flower arrangements. The twins were so excited to be at their aunt's house that at first, they didn't notice the look on their father's face.
Mateo thought it would be easy to say adios to his children, but it turned out to be one of the hardest things he has ever done. While he was preparing himself to say goodbye his daughter Yasmin said, "see you later alligator". That one sentence took so much out of him emotionally that tears just started racing down his face like they wanted to see how would hit his shirt first. So, with tears flooding his eyes he replied, "after a while crocodile". While clutching on to his son and daughter for dear life as if they would vanish if he even loosened his grip on them. The only reason he let go was because the driver of the truck beeped the horn bidding farewell to his sister and children.
In that moment he realised he couldn't keep the fact that he would be going to war from them, so he spilled the beans so to speak. As he was leaving, he could hear the cries of his son and daughter begging him to stay. When he entered the truck with his comrades to go to war, he broke down knowing that he probably won't be back. The only thing that kept him going was the fact that he was doing this for his family. He sent letters to his children as often as he could telling them how he had been and telling them how much he misses them also asking how they have been doing while he was gone. He always left out the bloody bits. He saved every letter they sent him keeping the pictures of then in his breast pocket close to his Heart.
These letters went back and forth for two gruelling long years. The only light he had in the world was reading the mundane things they would write. How their week went and that they were at the top of their class. He was particularly surprised to find that his daughter found enjoyment in martial arts. Then one bright sunny day there was a knock at the door Yasmin was the one to answer it. Luckily for her that devilish aunt of hers was out. She was hoping that it would be a letter from her father. Sadly, it was a letter from her father's sergeant in the military. The letter stated that their father how had loved and cared for them had been killed in action while saving his comrades. During an artillery shelling. At the funeral held by the military they walked behind their father's coffin. His grieving children watched as he was returned to the earth. They couldn't hold back the tears as they released a waterfall of emotion at that very moment. At the end both children were given a folded flag to remember him by. But little to their knowledge their lives were about to get a lot worse for them, more-so then they could ever possibly imagine.
