By the end of the week, Daniel felt his body grow increasingly stronger and more fit. He had to start doubling the amount of reps he did for his exercises from 100 per day to 200 per day all the way to 1000 reps per exercise per day by the end of the week. This was also because Daniel managed to break through to the 4th level of Body Refining realm at the end of the week. Rick and Stella nearly had a heart-attack when they noticed that their son is a martial genius among geniuses that has never been heard of in history. They couldn't believe their eyes and senses, thinking that they died and were in an oddly blissful yet nightmare-ish dream.
Then at the end of the week, Daniel asked them something that literally stopped their hearts for a couple of seconds.
"Mom, Dad, I know that I am too young to go alone and maybe at all, but can you take me to the mountain range to train and hunt demonic beasts?"
"WHAT THE HELL?! You are only five years-old! What kind of five-year-old would willing risk their lives to train?!"
"Well, one you will be there to make sure nothing bad happens, and two just training here is not helping anymore. I need real experience to improve more."
"That doesn't matter! You are still too young to do that, and if you left the clan or even this courtyard, people will go insane seeing your cultivation base and try to kill you for being too much of a genius."
Then, Daniel did something that stopped his parents' hearts again. He reigned in his aura, and even though his parents could still see him, they couldn't sense him at all. It was like he disappeared into thin air yet his body remained. No one could tell that he even cultivated before. Years of hunting and putting survival skills to the test in his old world suddenly became quite handy in this world.
"Before we can go, I will need to find a martial technique to practice."
"… … … Haaaa. Fine. I'll take you to the library to find a martial technique that suits you then we'll leave tomorrow."
"Thank you, Dad!"
…
The father-son duo then went to the library to pick out a martial technique. The same elder was standing at the door as before and gave a slight nod to the duo before they went into the library. This time instead of staying on the ground floor, Daniel went up to the second floor to pick out a technique. He still planned to create his own technique, but instead of creating a technique from scratch, Daniel only wanted to use the technique as a baseline and use his superior knowledge to improve the technique by leaps and bounds.
After three hours spent in the clan library, Daniel had a plethora of techniques that he could use and improve for any situation. The main areas that Daniel decided to learn were fist and sword techniques. The majority of these techniques were only Basic Mortal-grade and Intermediate Mortal-grade techniques. This didn't matter to him at all, since his comprehension capabilities was out of this world. A few of these techniques were fire punch, thunder punch, fire slash, and lightning strike. The first two techniques covered his main fist in fire or lightning, respectively. The last two were sword techniques that sent out a wave of flames or lightning towards the target when there is a distance separating them.
For the last of the preparations, they decided to go to a blacksmith to make a sword that Daniel could handle. In this case it was more of a dagger. Remember, Daniel is only 5 years-old, so he is only about a meter tall. After an hour of looking around the blacksmith shop, he picked out a black double-edged dagger that was about one kilogram and eight inches long. He was able to swing and thrust the dagger efficiently and effectively with no problems at all. He also decided to get a knife that was a little sharper and heavier than a kitchen knife to be able to gut and clean the demonic beasts that he slew during his training.
Before the father-son duo went back home for the night they decided to get three black cloaks that would be able to hide their appearance. Even though no one might care where they are going, taking a five-year-old out of town when it clearly looks like they aren't moving is a bit suspicious. There was another reason for the decision to buy cloaks. Possibly without his father being aware of it, Daniel sensed that they have been followed recently, especially when they just left the clan. There was no point in being followed inside the clan because you are always seen anyway, but every time they left the clan to go to the town, someone was following them. He never mentioned this to his father, and it seemed that Rick never knew that they were being followed. The person following them definitely was up to no good. Therefore, even though Daniel gave Rick the excuse of not seeming suspicious in order to buy cloaks, there was a hidden reason for it too.
The next morning, at the crack of dawn, Daniel, Rick, and Stella left the clan to go on the training/hunting trip. As soon as they left the clan, Daniel felt piercing eyes on him again. From what he could tell, the person following them was only at the 1st level of Qi Gathering. Therefore, he was either there only to watch and follow or to attack Daniel if him and his parents were separated. So, before they left town and the lurker told his client where they were going, Daniel decided to "take out the trash."
"Mom, Dad, can we go to the alchemy shop to get some healing pills just in case?"
"Don't we already have some?"
"We only got five last time. I'm not expecting anything to happen, but just in case."
Sigh "Fine, we can get some more, just in case."
When they walked into the alchemy shop, Daniel decided to slip away for a second. It would take a little bit for them to order the pills and the worker, who obviously looked like he didn't want to be there, would get the pills.
Once Daniel walked out of the shop, he turned down an alley to sneak around the lurker. The lurker was obliviously unaware of his upcoming doom swinging down on him like a guillotine. Daniel quietly walked up behind the lurker who was crouching down in an alleyway to stay as low key as possible. It would've worked too, if he was only a thousand times better and followed someone else who wasn't raised by a military vet in his previous life. Daniel was the epitome of a boa constrictor slowly tightening his hold around its victim as he slowly got closer to the lurker. No talk, no questions, no bullshit, just get the job done. Once he was behind the lurker, he slowly and slyly moved his hands around the lurker's neck and back of his head, with a small smirk on his little face, that basically said 'what an idiot'. With quick move, the neck was broken and Daniel vanished from the spot like a ghost while leaving behind "Learn to follow someone better in your next life".
He was back in the shop right next to his parents like nothing happened, a minute later. His parents never even knew he was gone. They got the pills they came here for and went outside. Then,
"AAAAAAHHH!"
