[ TALK ]
"GOLDIE!!!" everyone yelled as the shadow servant drew closer to Goldie.
"AAAAAAAH!" Goldie cried as he pointed a bright light towards the shadow servant.
The shadow servant immediately backed away by the blinding light. Bolk ran up to the shadow servant and swung down his axe. A critical hit, the shadow servant howls in pain as it tried to continue getting nearer to Goldie. Bolk lifted his axe one more time before dealing his final blow. The shadow servant's mist form dissipates, leaving behind black stone upon the ground.
"What was that?" Bolk huffed as he tried to catch his breath.
"What's making such a bright light?" Bùtóng added.
"Is it a blessed item?" another person questioned.
The group's eyes all layed on Goldie and the pink item he had in his possession. Goldie breaths heavily as he taps his paws on the item's surface and then within an instant, the light was gone. The group people took an immediate step back before coming closer out of curiosity. Goldie hid away the item deep inside his bag, he turned himself around to see the whole group standing right next to him.
"What is that item?" one person said.
"Can't tell you..." Goldie bluntly said.
"Why? Is it really powerful?" Bùtóng leans closer with glimmering eyes.
"I can't tell you, it's a secret," Goldie coldly replied.
"A secret? Can't you at least tell us how got it?" Bolk pouted.
"From a auction..."
"For how much?"
"It was..." Goldie gulped.
"Fifty thousands Eros," Goldie stuttered.
"FIFTY THOUSANDS EROS?!?!" the whole gasped in disbelief.
Goldie hid his face, sensing the swarm of questions targeting him.
"That's enough! Leave Goldie alone! He just experience his first shadow servant attack, and now you choose this time to interrogate him?! Bulling a child, how shameful!" Iris yelled, where everyone else took a few steps back.
Iris turns towards Goldie and gazes down upon him. "I apologize... it's going to be okay now. You understand?"
Goldie felt a gentle hand placed on his shoulder, he titled his head upwards and met Iris gaze. Iris's eyes were rich golden, as if they were soaked in honey from a queens beehive. The expression Iris showed was soft and considerate.
"No more questions?" Goldie blurted out.
Iris smiled. "No more questions..."
The group returned to the carriage and taking it to the rest of the way to Bulgaria.
"Goldie..." Iris spoke softly.
"Yes?" Goldie replied quietly.
"Why are you heading to Bulgaria to begin with?" Iris asked.
"I thought no more questions..." Goldie grumbled.
"My apologies, I was simply curious," Iris giggled.
"Why are you heading to Bulgaria?" Goldie questioned back.
"My reason? Well, I have a younger sister who is currently waiting for me at Bulgaria. If you want to hear the others reasons as well, you'll have to ask them yourself," Iris said.
"Sister? I have a older brother, but he's not waiting for me at Bulgaria," Goldie explained.
"Where is your older brother then? Do you know?"
"I can't see him, not now at least,"
"Hmm? And why is that the case?"
"Because... neither of us has finished our journey yet. Until we do, then we'll met again," Goldie said with determination burning in his eyes.
What a strange child. The more I get to know him, the more questions that are left unanswered. I'm so curious.
Iris's head was filled with questions, however, those questions will have to wait. For the current time, she will continue to observing this mysterious golden child for now...
