Alex felt a cool breeze on the back of his neck, and suddenly he found himself back in his room. Looking around, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss.
"Was that all just a dream?" Alex questioned, feeling a mix of confusion and disappointment. Moments ago, the ethereal voice had promised him unimaginable power and wealth, but now he was back in his ordinary room, devoid of any supernatural signs. He searched frantically for the yo-yo he had held, but it had vanished without a trace.
"Could it be that the yo-yo was real? But I don't have any powers or wealth, as I wished for," Alex muttered, his mind filled with uncertainty. The possibility of his own sanity being compromised crossed his thoughts.
"Perhaps the stress has finally taken its toll on me. I should have known better than to believe in such fantasies. Sigh... I'm losing my grip on reality," Alex sighed, his head throbbing with a growing headache.
Determined to clear his mind, Alex grabbed his small bag, which oddly felt lighter than before, and stepped out of his room. However, as he made his way through the building, he noticed strange occurrences he had never witnessed before.
In a corner near the entrance to the rooms section, he spotted a small hole that he was certain hadn't been there before. To his surprise, he could clearly see two bugs going about their business inside the minuscule orifice, despite being ten meters away.
"How is this possible? Why can I see that hole so clearly?" Alex questioned, his excitement growing. Could it be that his wish for super strength had been granted, granting him enhanced vision as well?
Unable to contain his curiosity, Alex decided to put his newfound strength to the test. With a slight push from his feet, he launched himself into a high jump. Above him was the concrete ceiling, while the floor of the first floor awaited below. Yet, he didn't consider the consequences, as he believed his newfound immortality would prevent any harm.
As he propelled upwards, a rush of exhilaration coursed through Alex's veins. He watched as the complex floor and building crumbled beneath him, witnessing the destruction of everything in his path. Even an airplane flew dangerously close to him. However, as he reached for the sun, everything suddenly turned dark, and he found himself hurtling through space, passing by meteorites with ease. Fear gripped him as he realized the extent of his own strength, and with a concentrated thought, he managed to halt his wild journey.
Coming to a stop, Alex found himself in a desolate void, unsure of his location. However, a deep sense of knowing guided him, assuring him of the way back.
"This strength... it's overwhelming and dangerous," Alex mused, a mix of excitement and apprehension coursing through him. Although he possessed unimaginable power, he understood the responsibility it carried.
Turning his gaze back towards Earth, Alex observed the orphanage from his vantage point. Construction workers and the old instructor stood in shock, staring at the collapsed dormitory building.
"You should be grateful we arrived in time. This building was on the brink of collapse," the leader of the construction crew stated matter-of-factly.
The instructor, now in a state of panic, suddenly realized something.
"Alexander is still inside! We have to save him!" he exclaimed urgently, his voice carrying a sense of desperation. Unaware that Alex had already made his way outside, nobody could fathom that he was the cause of the building's destruction.
Floating effortlessly, Alex decided to approach the group and inform them that he had managed to escape the building before its collapse. Revealing the truth about his involvement would only lead to skepticism and doubt.
"Instructor, what happened? I went out to buy something, and when I returned, I heard a loud noise coming from here," Alex stated innocently, feigning ignorance about the situation.
The instructor, visibly relieved at the sight of Alex, explained the events that had unfolded. Alex listened attentively, doing his best to hide his true knowledge of what had transpired.
