Chapter Four
I almost choked when she said, 'she could kiss me right now.'
I looked down at her as she was just as shocked as I was at her comment as her lips was inches from mine.
Fuck.
Her lips look so soft. I just want to place mine on them. I bet they taste sweet as hell.
Like honey.
She jumped when she heard her son then pushed off of me, "Mom?" She ran over to him, "Baby I am right here." She looked up at me and smirked, "Tristian, I want you to meet someone."
Tristian nodded as I walked over for him to see me when Sage said, "Tristian this is."
He screamed, "Jake Michaels. The football player."
I chuckled at him as it was awesome that this little man knew who I was, "That right Tristian. I am Jake Michaels the football player."
He tilted his head, "How do you know my mom?" I smiled at him, "We have friends that introduced us." He smirked at his mom, "This is so cool."
Sage nodded her head as she placed her lips on his forehead.
The nursed rolled Tristian into the Owner's box as people stood around as they clapped as we entered. A tall man walked over and introduced himself, "Ms. Thomas, I am the owner Mr. Bradford."
I smiled at him, "Thank you for throwing this all together last minute."
He smirked as he looked out this large window that you can see the entire field as he placed his hand on the small of my back and walked me over to it when he pointed to the men down on the field, "You have thank your man down there for all this. When he told us, what was going on with Tristian; we wanted to help out."
I looked up at him as he said, "The whole team and crew are going to get tested and even some of their family members." I smiled as I thanked him.
The nurse sat next to Tristian as his eyes was glued to the game.
A five years old that is glued to sports. He been memorized to all kinds of sports since he was a week old. Football was his favorite sport.
Mr. Bradford sat next to me as we watched, "Would he like to meet the team after the game?" I looked up at him and smirked, "He would love that."
He smiled, "Good. It amazing that a football game keeps him focus. Most kids his age would have been trying to run around." I smirked at him, "I know. I got luck with him. He loves football."
Mr. Bradford patted my shoulder as we watched 'The Pats' blowout.
Mr. Bradford cleared his throat, "I heard that you been having trouble for the magazine you work for."
I shook my head as I corrected him, "Worked for."
He nodded his head as he whispered, "If you need any help getting a new job please reach out to me but in the meanwhile as your son gets better the team is going to help you out financially." I shook my head to him, "I can't ask you to do that." He laughed, "It is no trouble, Ms. Thomas."
We celebrated our winning in the locker room when I heard a small voice running to me, "Jake that was awesome."
I picked up Tristian as he wrapped his little arms around my neck, "You had fun?"
He nodded at me as Sage watched from the doorway with Mr. Bradford, "I did. I love football." I chuckled, "I heard." I held him to the team as they stopped jumping around, "Guys, I want you all meet Tristian. My little buddy."
I held him as my hand went through his little brown hair as his blue eyes looked into mine.
Damn this woman made a pretty cute kid.
Sage walked over to me holding her arms out for Tristian, "As fun as this was, we have to get Tristian back to the hospital." I smirked at her as Tristian went to her arms holding her tight, "Do we have too?"
I laughed as I bump my finger off his nose, "Sorry buddy, Mom says it time to go back then it is time to go back."
He grunted as he looked up at Sage, "Can Jake visit me in the hospital?"
She smiled at him as I leaned down, "Your mom will have my number so anytime that you want me to come see you I will but when I can't we can just talk over the phone when I am not beating down the other teams."
He chuckled as he waved as they walked off.
My god, I didn't want them to leave.
That kid is so sweet.
I looked up at my teammates as they all stood next to me with their hands on their hips when the coach walked in, "What the fuck are you waiting for. Go to the damn hospital."
I nodded as I grabbed my clothes to head into the showers and held to the hospital.
I said goodbye to the team as they told me to go get it. I rolled my eyes as some of them was making kissing noises.
I flipped them off as I threw my bag over my shoulder and walked to my car.
Coach walked up next to me, "She is special." I looked up at him, "What are you talking about?"
He chuckled, "Mr. Bradford told me if you fuck it up with her that he is going to fuck you up."
I rolled my eyes, "Why are you all interested in my love life?" He chuckled, "Because she is involved." I chuckled as I left when he said, "I tell her you said hi." I chuckled as he let me leave the stadium.
I walked through the hospital as staff and patients smiled at me.
I got to Tristian's room as I slightly knock then heard,
"He is here!!"
Trevor came to the door then he opened it, "The kid has a radar for you, man."
I chuckled as I walked in with some stuff that the team gave me to give to him, "Hey there, Tristian."
He jumped forward as Sage narrowed her eyes at him, "Tristian, you need to stay in bed, you heard the doctors."
He rolled his eyes as I laughed, "Listen to your mom." He sat down as she looked up at me, "What are you doing here?"
I smiled as I sat on the chair next her, "I couldn't stay away, I guess. This little guy is pretty impressive."
I shook my head as he said that my little man is 'impressive'.
Tiffany tilted her head at me as she smirked. She mouth to me, 'Oh My God.'
I smiled back as Jake looked at me and smiled.
We all talked for a while when Tristian's monitors started to go off. I stood up as the nurses and doctors ran into the room when I screamed, "What is going on?"
Jake took me by my waist as the doctor pushed us out of the room when Jake's voice cracked, "Doctor what is going on?"
He shook his head, "Please, I will go talk to you all soon."
