When Dad walks in with the bag and the Doctor hooks up the IV, he asks everyone to leave the room.
Christa grabs his hand. "Doctor, my wife is scared, please let me stay with her, I beg you? She will be calm if I am with her?"
"Okay, but don't get in my way."
Removing the covers from the lower part of her body to examine her. Thomas heard when he gasps then took his scissors and nip the passage entrance then insert his hand.
Looking on in horror as the baby foot, came out first. When the baby's head came out and the doctor clean his face he was not breathing.
Watching Doctor George doing, just as how Christa had attended to the cow. He keeps breathing into his mouth pressing slightly to his chest.
Thomas notices when the baby cried he clip the cord then wraps him with the blanket and places him in his hand.
Then focuses his attention on Christa who seems to be unconscious with all the squealing.
He finishes the procedure with the IV in her hand, he continues to attend to her. Stitching the cut he made, then gave her an injection and waited for the after birth.
When he took the baby, and examine him he said. "I must take him to the hospital immediately and you need to come with me, Thomas."
"But my wife doctor, I can't leave her alone?"
"She will be fine, but his lungs might be infected and may even collapse. Come on quickly Thomas your parents can stay with her. Call your Mom, I will explain to her what she should do."
Thomas had stayed at the hospital until his dad came in the morning to relieve him. For him to get back home and freshen up and attend to her.
Entering his room, Thomas just stood looking on as a nurse was attending to her. She was sleeping and there was a full bag of drips hanging once more.
Wondering if the doctor already come in the morning. Sitting by the window, recalling the way she was angry standing at the window spitting out her rage at him.
'Why didn't I realize she was in pain? She was holding her back. How could I not see she was afraid, and my anger was despicable.'
Wiping his face then went and kneels at the bed holding her hand. Whispering only for her ear as the nurse was still in the room.
"Sweetheart, please listen to me, your son is doing great and he needs you. Please my love will you open your eyes? I love you."
Unaware when the nurse leaves the room having the chance to apologize. Without anyone overhearing him, "I am sorry for not understanding you, and becoming angry."
The days pass and Christa was very weak and she seems very restless. Wanting to see that she was happy, but she seem lost in her thoughts most of the time.
Becoming worried Thomas decided to send word to her dad. Knowing if he is here, she will be reassured that things will be okay.
Thomas was tired as the days go slowly. He hasn't visited the pen since the baby was born and it is already two weeks.
When the men heard I had a son they wanted to visit the baby at the hospital. When Thomas told them no one is allowed to visit him.
Due to him being pre-mature and being under doctor's supervision. And only one member of the family is allowed to be with him.
At Christa's home, Thomas's letter had arrived, on the third of March. Opening the letter Errol read it to his dad of her condition and the baby.
"We must go to her," Antonio whispers, almost in tears.
"Dad, Thomas sends money for your ticket, so it won't have any delay."
"Then call quickly and see when I could get a flight to visit her. And call your brothers and sisters and give them the good news.
Also, ask them to keep praying for her and the baby. And Errol when you get through and know what day my flight is let them know.
And ask them to come and prepare some of the things she like so I could take it to her."
Errol notices his excitement knowing that he has been restless these last few days. There is a special bonding between him and Christa.
Turning to go and make the call seeing Laura crying he hugs her. Hearing her whisper to him. "Dad cannot travel alone."
"I know, will you go with him?"
"Thank you, I have some money-saving to help with my ticket."
"No need for that, Thomas send enough for two tickets. It seems he realized that dad cannot travel alone." Errol whispers for her ear alone.
Errol call and made the arrangement, for his dad and Laura's flight. Watching, Louise and Laura went to Kate, Stephan, and Joy with the good news of the baby. And word that dad wanted them to come home.
Errol on the other hand calls Jason to try and come. Informing Dad that his flight was the Wednesday morning for eleven.
He went about fixing their dinner. Thinking, 'If Christa was here, he would not have this burden but she has found happiness. The three younger ones tried, to help but Christa was always the organized one.'
Eight months and a half have gone by and these three still can't fix a good dinner." Hearing the laughing and the loud talking. Errol knew the three others were with them,
Shamil was with the animals because Dad was a bit under the weather. He like animals just likes Christa.
Kate and Joy pack Dad's bag after dinner. When they completed the few snacks Dad asks them to make for Christa. Dad had no idea Laura was going with him. The day seems to get wings and fly so quickly.
Wednesday came and Laura sits in the car with us, when Dad said. "Child, you should be here to help Louise and Shamil."
Hearing Errol said, "Dad, I don't want you worrying about anything. I will be here with them and you can stay a few extra days. I bought you an open ticket so there is no need to rush home."
