As promised, I helped Gwen with the preparations for the New Year's Eve celebration. The past few days had been a whirlwind of activity. Planning this event was a completely different experience from organizing the company gala. The stakes were higher, the expectations greater, and the guest list—exquisite.
Every detail matters, I reminded myself as I meticulously reviewed the arrangements. I had to ensure everything was flawless. The selection of drinks alone was enough to make my head spin; simple bottles of champagne wouldn't do for this crowd. Each drink had to be imported, and I wanted only the finest. I even arranged for the caterer to be flown in from Italy to prepare the most exquisite dishes, which was a daunting task in itself.
