"It's you goddamit!! You're the reason, you asshole!", the omega cried. His eyes were red, flooded with tears. His pale skin was now suddenly flushed red due to the rage. "I hate you!! I hate that you're an alpha, that you're so filthy rich….that you can do anything you want and live without a care in the world. Your arrogance, your money, your power, I hate everything about you!", he spilled, sniffling like a child, "I hate that I met you and that you knocked me up!! That I have to keep this baby! And I hate how much it is taking a toll on me!".
Every word felt like a stab in Elian's chest. He didn't realize but his hands were tightening their grip around Kian's wrists.
"Everyday feels like hell!! Whatever I eat makes me wanna throw up. Even if I'm just walking, every muscle in my body hurts! I feel like I'd faint any second but I have no choice but to keep pushing-", the boy choked, "And I blame you! You're the reason why I'm like this".
It made sense. He's in pain, a lot of pain. Of course he is angry. How can one not be? Elian wondered. "Is that it? Or is there more you hate about me?", he asked, in a low voice.
"Yes. There is. I hate that you're pretending to be nice to me…like you're some saint, even when I know you're not. That you've stolen my bestfriend from me. He loves you and hates me and now I feel like I'm all alone again…", his voice became feeble as if he had spent all his energy by yelling.
Elian slowly let go of the thin wrists and reached for his cheeks. He slowly wiped away the boy's tears with his thumbs. "I'm sorry", he said, gently placing a kiss on his cheek. "I'm sorry for everything…", he whispered in his ear as pulled him into a hug.
The strong arms wrapped around him, pulling him into the firm chest that felt like being inside a warm blanket. He felt protected. He hadn't felt so comfortable before in his life. All the anger and jealousy that his heart contained, had completely surrendered. He shut his eyes, wanting to forget that he hated this man, who was hugging him so zealously. Why? Why can't he hate him back just like before? Why does he need to act like this? The omega wondered.
In the midst of all the quiet, Kian felt an earthy odor rising in the air. It smelled like being in a forest...wait no..it is more like the rain. He couldn't understand why, but it felt familiar. The fragrance was so light that it kept tempting him for more. The omega could feel his muscles ease, the pain was slowly fading away. How can smells from a hospital ward feel so soothing, he wondered. Wait…no! It is him. His pheromones.
"Is that you?", he asked in a sleepy voice.
"Don't worry about it now. I know you hate me for this too, but hate me later when you're not so tired", the alpha replied, not letting go of the boy from his arms, "Just go to sleep right now. I'll take care of everything else", he added.
Kian didn't argue. He just gave in. His face instinctively buried itself into the man's nape where the concentration of his pheromones was the strongest. The more he inhaled, the more his body relaxed. Even though the scent was extremely faint, it was leaving a slight tingling sensation on his skin. His head wasn't aching anymore as if all his worries were gone. His body felt like it was floating on water. Before he knew he had drifted into sleep.
Elian gradually placed him back on the bed. The omega's body was starting to react to his pheromones and he could already sniff the citrusy traces of Kian's pheromones mix with that of his.
As he stared at the beautiful face of the sleeping boy, his hands reached for his forehead to tuck his messy chocolate brown curls behind his ears. Seeing him sleep with such a calm expression put the alpha at ease. "Look at you. How could I've not fallen for you?", he said.

Kian rubbed his eyes, waking up from a long nap. His body hadn't felt so energetic in a while, he thought. His eyes fell on the trees outside the window and he watched them pass one after the other.
"Water?", Elian's voice came from the seat next to him. He turned his head to the side to find Elian driving while holding out a water bottle for him. He realized he was in that Jeep again.
"Huh? When did I get here?", Kian looked around. It was just him and Elian in the car. There was a large black wool coat wrapped around him which didn't belong to him. However he recognized it instantly since he had seen the alpha wear it on multiple occasions. "Where the hell are you taking me? Did we leave Uncle Lee by himself? We need to go back", he asked impatiently.
A smile landed on the blond man's lips and threw him a glance while he continued to drive. "Will and that other alpha friend of yours are with him. Don't worry", he assured but didn't answer the first part of the question.
Curious, the omega asked again, "And why am I in this car with you wearing this stupid jacket of yours?". If he were being honest it felt the most comfortable piece of clothing right now. The large size and the soft fabric on the inside was making him snuggle further into it as if it were a blanket.
"Because I put you here while you were fast asleep", the alpha giggled as he replied.
"Seriously, just tell me where you're taking me cuz otherwise it'd technically be kidnapping", Kian said, irritated.
After a couple seconds of silence came the response, "To my place".
"What? Didn't I already tell you I'm not going back there? How dare you bring me without my permission?", Kian scolded. The weakness and fatigue wasn't making him any less stubborn.
"Alright", Elian sighed, "I'll take you back. I'd just tell Irene you didn't want to see her. It's not like she'd feel hurt that all that dinner would just go to waste", he shrugged.
Kian's eyes sparkled at the mention of food. As much as he was at odds with the man sitting next to him, he couldn't deny that every single thing he ate in that mansion during his stay there was mouth wateringly delicious. Irene was an amazing cook and an even better companion. How could he miss such an opportunity, he wondered.
"No…Let's have dinner with her at least", Kian said, hesitantly, which made the alpha smile even wider. "I don't want to disappoint her that's all", he added.

"Oh my god sweety! You look so pale", Irene exclaimed as she welcomed the two inside. "I almost didn't recognize you, my lord, how much weight have you lost!", she said.
Kian could just smile back while her worried eyes scanned him up and down like a caring mother. "You're worrying too much. I'm doing okay!", he replied.
"No you're not. You need to take care of yourself more. Is the young master making more trouble than help?", she laughed looking at Elian who frowned back at her wondering why she'd take the boy's side instead of his.
Kian didn't know how to answer that question. He didn't know whether he needed Elian or not. Even though he'd always maintained his dislike for the alpha, he couldn't deny that he was also a lifesaver. If Elian hadn't saved Uncle Lee, he would've had nothing to look forward to in his life anymore. "I dunno. But he tries his best to get on my nerves", he said, making Irene chuckle even more.
"You won't believe how happy I'm to see you again. There are so many things I've to ask you", she said, taking Kian's hand into hers.
"Me too", the omega replied as the two of them walked away from the alpha.
