Everyone got inside the camp with their hands tied brutally with 'Spike chains' and the Magus were made to eat the 'Drainer Pill' for sucking out their mana. The Troops are defenseless after tying their hands but the same can't be said about the Magus, they can still free up themselves with the magic and attack us inside the camp. So, we had to give them 'Drainer Pill', it has a similar function as 'Shadow Nerf' we used on Prince, but it is effective for a long time and cheaper than an average 'Shadow Nerf' tool. But it is not so flexible to use as only if it is intake by the person or injected in his blood can it be effective. We have also collected every weapon and ration of enemies troop, these are our rewards and it is still not enough to repair the damages they have caused in our fortress. On the bright side, now we have lots of manpower to help us and my Troops can either rest or remain idle after training. These humans are used to such labors work and they have quite some skill in the field of construction, I have just made my troops out of rookie and unskilled warriors.
I commanded one of the werewolf unit captains, his name is Chann. He came forward and asked for my order, he is brave and tenacious unlike my other troops' that's why I choose him as a Captain among those slackers. The Troops along with Amzi were made to stand in the middle of the Fortress, which has been damaged and still in fire due to their own arrows...
"On your knees," I order them to get down on their knees as it will torture them more between those fiery flames scorching the ground. *Thoughts* "You humans' have already destroyed my Fortress to this extent and now I am so irate, this lowly captain mocked our species right in front of me. How dare he...?"
"Hugo!" I called him, he reached near me and said "Yes, Captain." while trying to bend awkwardly... Maybe as he was still holding the human Prince and the Head of the dead Magus in his other hand, which he was trying to hide behind him as to not show any disrespect towards me. Actually, I don't like to see those gross dead bodies, especially that head Hugo is holding in his left hand. It's not like I can't kill someone... I am allergic to the dead bodies', because of the brutal ways it has been killed and the smell of blood is so disgusting, on top of that when a dead body stinks' I will puke every time even if I have only smelled a wisp of it.
"You know it yourself, what to do with their Captain? and hold your emotion. Don't kill him Immediately... as a good spy, you know what is the first thing done after capturing an enemy." I called him so he would not lose his temper and kill Amzi without interrogation. Hugo may appear to be normal but I have already perceived his emotion by his previous action... Hugo actually stabbed him with his maximum force and speed to not miss the chance of killing him, but Amzi is not just an easy lamb... If not for Amzi being mildly experienced and if there was no element of surprise that we had closely planned, Amzi could have easily avoided Hugo's attack and immediately ran away with the Prince living behind his Troops and Magus...
Even after that Amzi avoided the deadly spike attack and thus he only got wounded in his waist, it just happened in a split of a second. *Thoughts* "It shows it clearly, no one among us is even close to his power, not even Tracy! Of course, I'm talking about one on one battle.". and... after Hugo realizes he couldn't make it, he sneakily laid those spikes in the ground, by laying those needle beds he was clearly trying to make Hugo lose his blood and die..., but his high hopes' didn't realize that Amzi is always carrying a 'Healing beds stone' with him.
I have done my work, now it's time for Tracy and Hugo to handle them. I moved inside the palace we have inside the Fortresses wall, While a soldier carried the human Prince Inside the 'Interrogation chamber'. Hugo is the Incharge of Interrogating other enemy Cavalry Soldiers, but he is too much for a young boy so Tracy will be asking some questions to the human prince. "Huh! Tracy, why didn't you show up yourself?" I asked her, as I was thinking why didn't she helped Hugo in Capturing the enemies. But, all this time she was sitting Idlily in the chair in her human form. It's not like she had to appear nonetheless the presence of another commander will restrain the enemy from further resistance, if they somehow didn't get intimated by Hugo's threat alone.
*Irate* "Argh, nothing. I don't like these human creatures, besides they are not worthy to see me. You did handle them without me, didn't you?" she replied in arrogance.
"Ah, I did my lady!" I replied, she pouted her mouth and turned away. I teased her a little as she is always acting high and mighty, though her arrogance doesn't come from a thin air. She is a big deal and her fighting style is top-notch which can be compared amongst our 'Lake Elites'. The 'lake Elites' are our first Generation of Troops made of complete Elite members, it is pretty much an old battalion but the Elites of this Battalion are not some lousy warriors. Each of them can take on a Captain of this human Troops like Amzi and we have fifty of them under my Command. If I had used them earlier in this war, it would have been overkill on our part, though I have used some of them despite my father's will.
"Tsk, it's not just that... They are disgusting creatures." She spoke after a while, which is the most expected word coming from her mouth. Almost everyone is disgusting in her eyes, I barely know some of them she likes. I didn't add anything after that, I don't get what's her problem with males and especially humans. She always acts' like this around them, even with her own Troops under her command... *Thoughts* "When we are alone she is suddenly a different personality and acts' like a kid playing mommy.".
// Tracy P.O.V //
Seren always asks me why I don't like men? Do you like someone in your life? Where is your home? why don't you take me to see your Clan? which I don't want to explain to her as she is still a kid who is not fully aware of the things, and I simply reply with the same answer "I do like someone and it's you my dear and you are my only family, this is my home and this is my Clan.". Not just her, almost everyone is curious about my background as it is noticeable by my Fur or hair which is slightly whiter than theirs, that I am from a different landscape.
She sat on my bed, well that's our bed. We sleep together from childhood... and she spoke "You should be interrogating that prince, that 'Shadow Nerf' might have drained his whole powers as he is still not conscious. If not given the 'Recovery Pill' he will be unconscious for life."
*Surprised* "Huh! no way. Hugo only used it to drain his mana.". On the way, Hugo already told me that he didn't use the full extent of 'Shadow Nerf' that Seren gave him. It wasn't necessary considering the age and power of the Human Prince.*Thoughts* But still the instant drain of mana can lead to an unconscious state as a normal human body can't stand the Vacuum of mana that is stolen from his body. A magician or magus has to accustom to the power of 'Elemental Magic' over a long period of training and time and thus their body instinctively reserves a wisp of mana even though it may look like he has used his whole mana. The last bit of mana is called the 'Last Wisp' and the name itself suggests its meaning.
For instance, what I have learned that Mana is not like a heavy bag we are carrying, but it's more like an organ for Magician and Magus and thus very important to be maintained. If depleted to Nothingness like what a 'Shadow Nerf' is capable of doing, it will lead to either Unconsciousness and illness for several days unlike a person who is carrying a bag will get energetic and Comfortable after putting it down... Still, Hugo only drained his Mana and not his 'Last Wisp' as the boy can't stand it and will go Unconscious forever without medicine.
*Curious* I spoke as I began to ponder "Hugo certainly won't make this mistake, he is not that careless. That human prince should have been awake by now. No! there's something wrong.". As I finished my word I changed my form to my former self (Werewolf) and dashed towards the 'Interrogation chamber'.
"Eh! what are you talking about~," Seren asked in surprise.
"That prince is certainly trying to escape," I replied and moved out of the room.
