On the order of their senior Magus, they all scattered around the enemy's outpost to completely encircle the Cavalry troops from every direction. After getting in their own position they all started to chant the magic words while using their magic to protect the Cavalry troops from getting hit by the incoming rain of arrows. The Magi were chanting to amplify and integrate their power, even then they can only protect one-third of the troops. The use of such kind of enchantment is a very useful feature for the Magus because it is very flexible to use and can be used to amplify the power and efficiency of their Mana. Especially in such types of situations where enemies are overbearing and there is a strong need for Teamwork to get past.
// Magi is the plural of Magus or Mage //
The Magi were using the same type of Magic, all of them were using Aeromancy to form a strong shield against the arrows. They were using their magic power in such a way that can manipulate the air to compress them in a small area above their head. The advanced Magic coupled with their Amplified power is making a thick layer of air above their head which cannot be penetrated by any normal weapons. Nevertheless, it can withstand the swarm of the oversized arrow that is being thrown with an unusual great momentum. The problem is not that they are not able to protect them, but the problem is that the cavalry troops are scattered around so it was very difficult to protect everyone. Added up with their low number, it was rather becoming a burden to protect those cavalries.
So they made a plan to expand the defense, but to let down the thickness of Air. By doing so they can protect them all because even though the arrows can penetrate into their defense, they can still slow its momentum. The plan is very good considering it can save the Cavalry troops from getting critically injured, a minor injury which is still not life-threatening is very normal in a war. So keeping the Troops alive should be their main purpose. Seeing that his Cavalry is now safe, Captain Amzi once again shouts "Charge... Show them who we are!". His troops who were in complete disorder just a moment ago, Stormed in the direction of Enemies' after hearing his command. But watching this seemingly unceasing rain of Arrows, he was still hesitant to really enter into the Outpost of enemy's.
As he reached closer to the gate of the Fortress of Werewolves, he is finally able to actually see the Fortress and who are those strong werewolves that can actually Shoot these Mighty arrows unstoppable, not considering the distance. As it can be seen that their accuracy is not perfect and they are actually shooting in the same pattern continuously from the start. But one thing was he confident about is that the enemies' aren't shooting the arrows continuously at the same Pace, it was being halted for few seconds in a particular direction with the same pattern. He made an obvious judgment that the enemies' are taking a turn for the attack. so he thought that his enemies' are a fool to do so, "Ha! They must be thinking about killing us with only this puny Arr~!". He ridiculed them while breaking an arrow that came for his neck, he just caught it with his bare Palm like a toy, but before he could say any further words', he gasped in astonishment.
"what the hell is that thing?" he asked me. I chuckled at the fact that he noticed me just now! when I was riding on my horse just beside him from the moment he ordered his troops to charge forward. I replied "You should probably ask them personally", I replied in a Manly tone. I am more surprised by the fact that he is not even looking towards me because of the astonishment. I was already very surprised by the fact that even those troops were easily fooled by me, with little to no effort at all. I mean "How could you not recognize an Impostor who is just dressed in your way, especially if she is just a young girl!". So I zoomed past him saying "Don't worry if you are not able to reach inside the Fortes, I will ask them for you!". This time he did not ignore my Mockery and looked towards my trail in astonishment more than that 'Arrow Launcher'.
"huh?..." *Surprised!*
"Hey! stop~" he tried to stop me, though it was to ask my name or to warn me of the incoming arrows' I just ignored him and ride towards the gate of my Fortress. "what a fool he is', how can he become a Captain of this Humans?" I mumbled as I reached near the entrance. I jumped out of the horse and climb inside the Fortress' through the Gate, as it will be unnecessary trouble for my troops to open the gate for me when the enemies are right behind my back! I had actually ordered my Troops to make a small casement at the top of the Walls and Gate to enter into the fortes', in case of enemy attack. The four guards' that were patrolling outside the wall also took the same course of action will entering inside the Fortress without being noticed by the Spy who was still hiding his ass behind a Tree.
The forces are doing fine inside the Fortress', I mean sitting Safe and Sound. They were slacking lazily on the ground, some of them were even asleep like they were not able to sleep for the past several days', I made them not to sleep. I had to do so, in order to make a flawless plan to defeat these cunning Humans. You must be asking "Then who is launching those Arrows' if all of them are sleeping inside the Wall". Those are the backup force I requested from my father for the battle, though I lied to him about using them only in the case of extreme need. After continuously begging him with the excuse of my safety, I'm finally able to recruit them into my own force. Though it wasn't a perfect pretext, it works' every time. They are exactly fifty in numbers and each of them are our Elite Wolves, we are basically proud of having them in our force. So I made this Grandee plan according to it.
"We aren't wolves', so don't call us Packs"
// This Species' aren't Lycans //
"Wake up morons, enemies are approaching," I said to alert them and make them ready for the War, that seems unnecessary even so I have to at least do the formalities'. I'm not taking this battle lightly, I am just sure of winning it before the Dawn. Where is this similar self-confidence coming from?... well, right from my enemies' and their dumb Captain!
