"Oh, yes, you do." Team Leader Bae rolled her eyes in triumph. "Don't lie, Miss Li. You got rejected, too."
I tried to feign innocence, but Team Leader Bae caught me off guard. I guess there's no use lying then. I told her that I was rejected, and she seemed to have looked satisfied with my answer.
Whatever it was, our conversation ended---leaving the two competitors nothing to gain. Both of us learned each other's weakness, and we might be able to use it as an advantage or as a disadvantage. We never know. Team Leader Bae went out of the meeting room alone while I tried to go out of the meeting room and lingered in the comfort room.
