The Lakeside Town, Yumin—Guildhall [5:37 PM].
At the front door of Orelia's room where Fei was in, Xander helplessly stood at the doorstep whilst letting out a sigh. "...sigh. What can I do?"
Muttering out to himself, he could only shake his head in a helpless manner. Xander had been standing by in front of the door for the past minute pondering on what to do with Fei who had been staying in Orelia's room the entire time after Damian had left.
"Just seeing you like this... I do wish I can do something." Deep down, Xander knew that it was a phase, however, it still hurts to see that Fei was like this. Unlike the previous gloomy aura that she had given off when something didn't go her way, this was the worse yet. "What do I even do?"
He wished that there was something he could do to cheer Fei up, however, given the situation, the likelihood of cheering her up was zero to none. The situation as it is with Damian and Fei's fight and them not making up made the entire fiasco far worse than before.
"..." Unable to think of anything, he could only wonder what had actually gone on last night as he wasn't there. "...this is a first that they've been avoiding each other so greatly. Why's that?"
At times, even after fighting or quarrelling with one another, they would have made up in no time. But, in the case of today, both sides seemed rather intent on avoidance.
"...argh. I'm not good with this," scratching his head in frustration, Xander could only turn away from the doorstep and walk over towards the window of the guildhall. "Sigh. Maybe I'm the one being impatient since it's only just been a day. I'll probably just have to give it some time..."
With nothing to do but to wait, Xander gazed out into the window as he watched evening light shining down onto the passing crowd through the streets. Slowly, the time moved towards the moonlit night.
...
Down to the first floor of the guildhall, the atmosphere around the air slowly turned upsetting as Orelia's head lied on the table with an annoyed expression.
"Ugh..." Orelia groaned whilst Aina and Roy were minding their own business doing other things to pass the time.
"..."
As the room became still with noiseless echoes, Orelia couldn't stand the bitter atmosphere as she shouted out. "...argh! Today was supposed to be the day they start working their butts off as guild rankers! How could it come to this?!"
"A-Ah... Miss Orelia, please calm down..." Aina muttered out in a hushed tone. "Give them some time. I'm sure they'll come around to it."
"It's almost been an entire day!" Orelia cried out. "Like hell would time work out for them, this is the longest they've been at it!"
"I mean... The situation is rather perplexing. If anything, a day won't cut it for them. We just have to give Fei and Damian some space," Roy calmly stated. "If we were to intervene, it'll only make matters worse."
"Sigh... I know that, but... maybe, Instead of sulking around, they could at least make-up..." Orelia frowned.
"It's been a while since they've been like this, huh?" Aina sighed. "Their fights only get so far..."
"Argh... Damian isn't even back from his first day's job yet. Just what on earth is he doing?" Orelia clicked her tongue. "Is he on a rampage at the forest? He literally skipped out on lunch! Actually, both of them! Arghh!"
"U-Um in actuality..." Aina uttered out. "Fei came down to eat earlier this afternoon while you guys were out and about with your tasks. Though, she only silently ate and went back up post-after."
"She did...?" Orelia raised her brow. "Are you serious? Why didn't you tell me this sooner!?"
"D-Do I need to?" she tilted her head. "I thought you knew since you're the one who kept away the containers..."
"...ah, I must have thought otherwise. Sigh. I'm sorry for shouting," Orelia pinched the bridge of her nose. "Worrying over them like this is just giving me a headache. Could I just take a break for a week or something? I've been working my butt off for the past few days!"
"Hmm... Is that why you're mostly upset?" Aina glared at Orelia. "Because Fei and Damian were supposed to lessen your burden?"
"Cough... Of course not! Why would I think of that?" Orelia coughed slightly. "I-It's just that I've been doing way more work these days than even the hard-working Roy!"
"Even more than me?" Roy blankly stared at Orelia. "...hmm, I guess so? You've been really at it these days, huh? I guess you really do need a break if you've been working that much harder"
Back before Fei and Damian had become official guild rankers, Orelia had meticulously planned out nearly everything in preparations for their commemoration, where she did most of the paperwork whilst only Balmar had to send it in. But to her dismay, her preparations failed in expectance for today.
"Where can I even go for a break? Yumin's just so and so. The lake is there, but I can go there every day! Besides, I can't go far, so Alvoz is off the charts too," Orelia pouted. "Maybe I should beg Balmar for a month's break? Then perhaps Alvoz could be an option... Oo! I haven't been to Inhest or Esnus yet"
"Miss O-Orelia... Isn't that, a little too much?" Aina questioned. "Even Vell or Kruz himself wouldn't demand such things and he only ever takes up extremely demanding jobs."
"Ahh... You're right," Orelia sighed. "But I still really do need a break!"
"Hmm, if you don't want to go far, why not go to Brime or something then? It has a wide range of entertainment after all," Roy suggested. "I even heard there would be a performance of the Falmea Dancer next week too. So it's a perfect time."
"Entertainment... Going to Brime..." Orelia muttered out. "THAT'S IT! Roy, you're a genius!"
"...huh? I am?" Roy raised his brow.
