The Borders Mountain was as the name intended, a mountain that had the strongest borders between two realms. The West side of the mountain was where all the Werewolves territories began from the North-Eastern Pack and the East side of the mountain was were the vampires realm began from the South-Mairak Kingdom.
The mountain was usually abandoned because of how bloody it has been for the past centuries so no single soul was seen on it but our dear princess wasn't just an ordinary soul, with extraordinary courage and strength, she climbed the mountain and set off to find the North-Eastern king.
"Bloody Snow" she cursed as her boots got stuck in the snow which covered the entire mountain, making it look like it dropped from a fairytale.
It's been five hours since Tashina set off on the mission, she has passed the elites society and then rural part of South-Mairak to reach the bottom of the mountain.
She clutched her backpack much tighter when she felt her fingers getting numb from the harsh weather, when she looked up to see how far the peak where the borders wall stood was, she decided to take a short break for the first time since the journey.
She sat on a nearby rock, using her backpack as cushion so her butt doesn't freeze and took out her jug of water, she gulped down the ice cold water as she stretched her aching muscles. Climbing a very steep mountain filled with enormous amount of snow wasn't an easy task, even for the strong princess.
Tashina freed her fiery locks from the clutches of the braid and ran her hand through her long, curly red locks. She then heard a purr and turned back to see a small, white polar bear walking towards her.
Her lips let out a small smile as she picked up the fluffy white bear and wrapped it in her armor covered arms. "Hey there, little fella" she cooed as she stroke his soft furs.
Five creatures who were lurking on a nearby tree decided to attack at her weakest moment and flew down the tree to land on the cushion of snow.
She looked up from the sudden intruders and furrowed her red, bushy eyebrows. As a instinct, her hands tugged on her blade as she stood up to confront the five wandering vampires. The little bear came down and stood in front of her in a defensive position.
"Attack!" the leader of the five commanded and they all got into their fighting posture to get rid of the princess.
"Who are you?" she asked but the only answer she was met with was the attack one of the men laid which she dodged by jumping towards the peak of the mountain, followed by her assassins.
Vampires are known to have a very light weight because they mostly feed on fluids which makes it easier for them to jump high at an impressive distance.
The little bear not knowing what to do as he was left alone, followed the princess to save her from the bad guys.
Tashina landed a few feet away from the borders wall and used the opportunity of landing first to get out her Blade.
The Python Blade was an ancient sword used by many generations of vampires to kill any supernatural being, the Blade could only be wielded by the bravest hearts and the last vampire to wield it was the late King Regor's grandfather. The Blade, having no owner for almost five centuries was left in the royal museum.
When the Crown Princess, Tashina was born, the Blade moved from its position at the museum to land beside the crib of the baby princess, breaking everything on its way to get to its new wielder.
The Kingdom was marvelled by the spectacle of the Blade. And the Blade was officially handed over to Tashina when she was sixteen and won the yearly contest of combat against a hundred vampires. Ever since, the Blade served as a weapon and protector for the princess.
She used her Blade to cut deep the ankle of one of the men. Another one came from behind and tried to use his sword to cut off the princess's head but she dodged it in time with her Blade.
Skillfully, she dodged each and every one of attacks with her Blade as she got into a sword fight with them. Tired of being in the defense, she used her elbow to hit the neck of one of the men and used his weight to push three others with him.
She jumped on the last man's back, wrapped her legs around his torso, held his neck tightly and used her fangs to draw out all his blood in a second. She then felt a sharp pain in her side abdomen as her red eyes turned back into their normal shade of green.
The man's limp body fell on the snow and she turned back to attack the one that dared to slash her flesh. He used his sword to dodge in time but didn't avoid getting cut on his arm by the Blade.
Tashina used her long leg to kick the stomach of the man behind her and he grunted in pain, she used her punch to stagger another as she used her Blade to fight the remaining two.
Her lower body being unguarded, one of the men took the opportunity to open a fresh wound on her right thigh and due to the shock of the sudden attack, she stagger backwards a bit and as another sword was brought close to her face to slash her cheek, she took notice of the sword the men were wielding.
It was a cooper-bronze metal which was also known as the poison of the vampires which could kill in a second when contracted the skin, the only place that supplied these swords was the Royal Ammunition Blacksmith of South-Mairak because they got these metals as rewards when they conquered a werewolf's territory centuries ago.
If these men are with these swords, they were undoubtedly from the palace but why would someone from the palace try to kill her? The princess lost concentration from the fight as she thought.
The men took the distraction as an advantage to stab the princess on her lower belly and threw her bleeding body against the walls of the border, the old walls crumbled under the sudden weight and the cracks stabbed the princess as she fell to the ground with a grunt.
In the meantime, the small white bear had successfully made it to where the fight was now taking place and started clawing at one of the men's leg. The man looked down at the little creature in irritation and flung him over to the other side of the mountain.
The little rollercoaster ride ended up with the little bear's foot being stuck under a rock to later be saved by a big, black beast.
But for now, let's get back to our dear princess...
After she was mercilessly thrown over, her Blade flew quite a distance fron her and before she could get it. The man that stabbed her, marched towards her and she started crawling backwards, holding her bleeding tummy. He bend forward to punch her, dragged her red locks to expose her slender neck as he leaned, about to suck her blood out.
Unknowingly to him, the princess laid out her palm in the air, calling for her Blade a few distance away. The Blade rushed towards its owner and knocked down one of men on its way to the princess.
"This is your end, princess" he murmured before he let out his fangs to suck her tender neck. At the right minute, Tashina caught hold of her Blade and stroke the man right on the heart.
His pupils dilated right to left as his body fell limp on the cold harsh snow.
"Go to Hell" she spat at the dead body.
The men that were still standing, advanced towards her, though they were trembling with fear, they had come too far to retreat now. So they were going to complete their mission at all cost.
The rage she was feeling from this sudden attack exploded and she wasted no time in using her Blade to kick his sword off his hand and punched him on the face rapidly before she slashed him diagonally. She stepped on his body to jump on the other one and sucked his blood mercilessly after which she marched towards the last one.
The last man that was on the floor from the attack of the Blade used his feet to bring her down. He then climbed on her bleeding stomach, about to take her life with his dagger but when she held his hands just a little space between her face and the dagger, he was stunned at her strength.
He pushed down further with a groan but the princess didn't budge, she then ran her finger through his eyes and he cried out of pain. She used her bloodied finger to push him off her as she straddled him after taking her Blade.
"Tell me who sent you and I promise to give you a less painful death" she removed the cloth that covered the lower part of his face and commanded him to speak as she pointed the Python Blade towards his heart.
"Who do you think it was?" he spat maniacally, the blood from his injured eye gushing down and tainting the pure white snow.
"Who sent you?" she screamed.
"The Queen, your mother"
Her heart took a tumble dive when he gave her the answer and tears brimmed her weary eyes.
"Liar. You dare lie against the Queen of our land" she shook her head vehemently, wanting to pretend as if she didn't hear the bitter truth.
The man chuckled dryly "She wants you dead so the kingdom would be hers"
"No, no, no!!!" she screamed as the tears finally dropped from her sorrowful jade sockets.
The conniving assassin used her moment of weakness to get his hand on his dagger to finish his mission. She turned her weight a little too hard to dodge his dagger and ended up rolling down a slope to fall on a deep pithole.
She laid there breathing heavily as she watched the grey sky. The wounds all over her body were bleeding profusely that one would have died from the huge loss of blood but the wound in her heart was far bigger than any other wound.
It numbed out all the other pains in the body.
The saddest thing about betrayals was that they always came from your close ones.
Tashina then heard silent, cautious footsteps heading her way and she looked up to lay her eyes on the most beautifully created beast she has ever seen.
Her entire form was trembling as he stared deeply into her soul and it was like all the pain she felt moments ago were all being healed by his intoxicating gaze.
His big paw held her figure in the air and he asked her to plead for mercy but mercy wasn't what she craved for, instead, she craved for a quick death so that she could fall into a spell of darkness for eternity and finally be far away from this cold, harsh world.
The last thing she remembered before she fell into a dark slumber was the manner in which his steel blue eyes set her entire soul on fire.
