"Tashina," Chivia called lightly but Tashina didn't want to respond.
"Just go away, Chivia," she mumbled and kept her face buried in her arms.
"But we're best friends, right? And best friends don't just leave when their friend is sad. I'm supposed to cheer you up," Chivia walked towards her now.
Tashina inched closer to her bed, trying to put some space between both of them.
"Best friends don't try to eat each other but I still did," Tashina cleared her throat as more tears were threatening to spill from her eyes.
"Best friends can make mistakes, and I know you would even think of doing that if you were in your right senses," Chivia sat next to her and rested her hand gently on her shoulder.
Tashina clenched her teeth tightly as she tried to muffle her sobs. She found it hard to keep her resolve with Chivia here.
"I am so sorry, Chivia. I am so sorry I tried to taste your blood," Tashina lifted her head as she begged.
