Your POV
Harry, Ron and Hermione managed to discreetly gather students of all years to see whether they would want to take a risk and practice magic behind Umbridge's back. To the trio's surprise a lot of students actually attended this meeting. Harry made a point to them all straight out that he wasn't going to be talking about Cedric if that's what any of them were there for. There were a few mumbles about that topic but quieted down once a third year asked if Lord Voldemort was really back.
Harry nodded. I noticed a few people shaking there heads at what Harry said.
Neville's POV
"So we are just supposed to take your word for it, that he's back" Seamus said.
"Well considering the state we were in when we got back, yeah I expect that." Harry snapped back at him.
"Oh that's right your injuries and Y/n apparently being tortured." Another fifth year said. That made me angry.
"Hey shut up, you have no idea what happened to them" I yelled falling over my words a little.
"Yeah and neither do you Longbottom, you are just trying to stand up for your girlfriend" He remarked.
"I'm not his girlfriend, dumbass" Y/n commented. She would never know how much that statement hurt to hear.
"Enough, I'm not here to talk about last year. I'm here to offer you to learn magic while the ministry refuses to teach us, now you can either choose to join or leave it's that simple." Harry snapped for the second time.
"So who's joining?" Ron asked.
I raised my hand as did Y/n and a few others. Soon we were lined up to sign to be in the DA.
Harry was happy with the amount of people that joined but there was still one problem. We had nowhere to practice.
Harry's POV
On our way back to the common room the group were spit balling some ideas on where we could practice magic but most of the ideas were certain to backfire on us eventually. It was extremely frustrating not being able to start straight away but there was nothing we could do. As a group we checked if there was another plaque put up and surely there was.
"All students must remain 1 meter away from the opposite sex" Hermione said in disbelief. It seemed that Professor Umbridge despised the thought of students indulging in happiness of any kind.
I guess she forgot about fellow LGBTQ+ students that won't have much of a problem with this rule. I thought to myself. I chuckled a little at my train of thought.
"What are you laughing about?" Ron asked. I shook my head.
"It's nothing" I replied. He just shrugged and let it go. I looked over at Y/n who just rolled her eyes at the plaque. If hated Umbridge the most it would be Y/n by far. I hope that Neville and Y/n sort themselves out it's clear they are still into each other. Speaking of Neville he stood next to me after my previous thoughts.
"Hey Harry" Neville said at the same time glancing at Y/n.
"Hopefully we can find a place soon" I commented. He agreed. In our brief silence Neville stared at Y/n. I sighed.
"You should talk to her" I told him.
"What, why, I don't have anything to say." Neville rushed his sentence nervously. I smirked.
"How about you talk about your relationship" I offered.
"What about it, there is nothing between us we are over, she doesn't want me. Why would want to be with a cheater." Neville mumbled.
"It wasn't your fault and she knows that. You can only try. Take it from just one of the people that can see your feelings for each other." I told him. He looked uncertain but walked up too her.
Neville's POV
"H-hey Y/n you look nice today...not that you d-don't look nice other days j-just that today you look less tired n-not that that's a bad thing just different from usual...I-I mean not usual just sometime you seem tired. Sorry no t-thats not what I meant, I j-just think that you look nice compared t-to other girls...not that I'm c-comparing you to other girls just, you look nice." I finally stopped myself from talking anymore and making it worse than it already was.
"Well that conversation gave me whiplash, I don't know what to say to all that so thanks I guess and see you later." Y/n gave a small wave and walked away. I turned around to see Harry facepalm. I shrugged and walked back over to him.
"Better luck next time mate" He said as I nodded. I frown and head off to my next class.

Neville's POV
It had been a week since the meeting for the DA and yet none of us could find a safe place to practice our magic. I was walking down the corridor keeping my head down as I caught a glimpse at Crabbe and Goyle who were walking towards me.
Please leave me alone, please leave me alone. I thought to myself. They walked either side of me shoulder barging me.
"Watch where you're going Longbottom" They laughed. I rubbed my arm and turned a corner to get away from that. I kept walking before I heard a sound and turned back to see a door that was never there before. I opened it to see a spare room I've never seen.
I walked back to tell the trio when it disappeared. I ran to find them and when I finally did, I took them to the same spot and as I hoped the door reappeared. And we opened it.
"You've done it Neville, you found the room of requirement" Hermione said.
"What's that?" Ron asked.
"It's a room that appears equiped for whoever has most need for it" she explained.
"So say you really needed the toilet?" Ron said.
"Gross, but yes" Hermione looked at us.
"This is brilliant, it's like Hogwarts wants us to fight back" Harry said smiling.
