Your POV
I ran with the group but soon we lost Harry. We all were looking for him when 4 death eaters came out of nowhere pointing their wands at us. Everyone pulled out their wands except me because I was no good at defensive spells yet and I knew I could rely on my powers.
"Don't kill the weapon, he needs her alive." one of them hissed.
"As for the other 3, make them suffer". I had enough of him.
I held up my hand and he was flung back. Hermione started using defensive spells with Ron and Neville. One of the death eaters disarmed Neville. I quickly put a particle barrier in front of Neville to block another spell giving him enough time to grab his wand.
"Y/n WATCH OUT" Hermione yelled.
"CRUCIO" A death eater yelled. I screamed out as pain washed over me, it felt like red hot knives were cutting into my flesh. I fell to my knees curling into a ball. All of a sudden the pain stopped and I was pulled up, my legs were too weak to stand properly.
"I told you I would see you soon" the death eater whispered holding their wand to my neck. I glanced up to see my friends watching in horror.
Neville looked so shocked and hurt. I tried to use my powers to at least be able to help my friends get away without being hurt. My hands started glowing red.
"Tsk Tsk Tsk, I wouldn't do that unless you want your friends to die" he hissed as more death eaters surrounded us.
"Run!" I said wanting my friends to be safe. They wouldn't leave. I made my hands glow again.
"I SAID RUN!" I yelled.
"Crucio crucio crucio" the death eater chanted. My whole body burned before everything went black.
Neville's POV
A lot of people from the ministry came over with Harry and Mr Weasley, the death eaters left immediately. I ran over to Y/n and got on the ground pulling her into my arms. I was balling my eyes out as I held her. I could feel my heart break seeing her like this, seeing her get tortured with that curse.
"P-Please be okay. I-I'm so sorry" I cried
"We have to get her to the hospital Neville" Hermione said patting my shoulder. I nod and let her be taken to the hospital.

It's been 5 days since Y/n was admitted into the hospital and she still hasn't woken up. The doctors say they aren't sure what will happen with her or when she will wake up.
"Hey Neville, how are you holding up?" Hermione asked as I left Y/n's room after staying with her again. I hid my face even though everyone knew I've been crying.
"I'm fine" I lied like every other day.
We heard a buzz and saw doctors running towards Y/n's room.
Your POV
I shot up in bed shaking. I looked around not having a clue where I was. I had wires attached to my chest and a drip in my arm. I pulled it out and the wires off my chest and tried to stand up but I was still too weak. I pulled myself up and walked out of the room, my legs shaking. I looked up and saw all these people around me. I instinctively pushed back trying to move away.
"Stay back" I spoke softly.
I saw Neville and jumped up.
"Neville" I said reaching for him but collapsed again. Neville quickly caught me in his arms.
"Careful there" he said and hugged me tightly.
"I'm so glad you are okay" He picked me up not wanting to let go of me.
"Of course I'm okay" I smiled and cupped his cheek, I ran my thumbs gently under his eyes.
"You've been crying. Are you okay Nev?" I asked worried. He buried his face in my neck.
"I thought I lost you, you wouldn't wake up. It's my fault" he cried.
"Listen to me Nev, its not your fault" I kissed his forehead softly.
The doctors told me that I needed to rest while they did a few checks. Neville carried me back into my room. I laid down on the bed and everyone was happy I was okay.
"So I was out for 5 days?" I said as I held Neville's hand. They all nod sadly.
Neville's POV
"You seem to be handling all of this well" Ron said.
"Yeah I'm still a little fuzzy on the details." Y/n said and tried to use her powers. Her hands started glowing red.
"Be true to yourself, your chance will come. A side will be chosen but only time will tell" She said softly.
"What was that?" I asked.
"Someone kept repeating it before I woke up, I tried to see who it was but something was blocking me" She made a sphere out of her new power and held it.
"Did you recognize the voice?" Hermione asked but Y/n shook her head. I wrote down what she said.
"Maybe we can look into it, I mean you're developing new powers quite quickly. Maybe they are linked" I said trying to help. She smiled brightly.
"Neville you are a genius" She said excitedly.
"What did I say?" I asked confused by how I would say something smart.
"My powers are kind of based on emotion, telekinesis-boredom, invisibility-shock, healing-sadness and this weird particle barrier thing was anger." She said and used some of her powers making my hand invisible. I smiled.
"School is starting up again in 4 days, do you think you will be okay?" I asked softly. I cared about her a lot and honestly wanted her to come back to school with me. She nodded.
"Yeah, of course I will be fine. I can handle a lot more than people think" She pulled me into a tight hug.
