"Mom was killed by two men. They broke into the house late at night and I was about to go into her room and I blacked out. I don't remember anything after that." I say as my grandpa fell to the floor. Tears started to fall from his eyes.
"Where are you staying now if not with your mother?" My grandpa asked wiping the tears from his face.
"I'm staying with someone that claims to be my father. I don't believe that he's my father. I also think that the men that broke into our house are connected some how." I mention about the possibility that I didn't want to admit but I had to tell my grandpa at some point.
My grandpa looks at me with confusion then his eyes go wide. "Faith, what did these men look like?" My grandpa asked hiding the anger behind his eyes.
"I couldn't get a good look cause it was dark in moms room, but I did see that one had hair covering his eyes and the other has short hair and a scar over his left eye. I believe they had a knife on them." I answered my grandpa.
"What does your "father" look like?" My grandpa asked again.
"Tall, black hair, blue eyes, and there's a scar on his right arm. Why?" I answered.
"Faith, can't go back there." He spoke as he grabbed my arm and started walking out of the room.
"Why? Where are you taking me grandpa?" I asked starting to pull away from my grandpa's grip. My grandpa doesn't answer, but his grip begins to tighten around my wrist. "Grandpa?" I speak louder trying to get his attention. No response. "GRANDPA? Let me go please..." he stops.
My wings open as a way to defend myself if something went wrong. "I need to show you something, Faith." He says almost as a whisper. He turns around and looks me directly in the eyes with a serous face, the tears from before completely gone.
"Why are you acting like this grandpa? Please let me go." I asked and he released my wrist.
"There's some—" my grandpa got cut off by me flying off out the window that was open.
"What was up with him?" I say to myself as I begin to fly away from the building. "I've never seen him like that."

I get back to my fathers house and fly in through my window. I walk over to my dresser and get into some comfy clothes and lay down on my bed. I end up falling asleep soon after.

I wake up to my father knocking on the door. "Good morning princess. How was your friend yesterday?" My father asked walking towards to me.
"It was nice." I lied
"That's good. Well get dressed we're going out." My father said walking back to the door.
