Catharina nodded. She gently held Cristina's hand and said, "I want that bag from the window display."
The direct and brief manner of Catharina slightly surprised the attendant, but observing the way the two were dressed, even though she couldn't recognize the brand, she quickly deduced that it was something expensive, perhaps even more expensive than all the clothes in the store.
"Yes, right away!" With a smile, she said, "Please come in."
"Mm."
It didn't take long for the attendant to fetch the bag.
"This is the last one in stock," the attendant said. "It's a new product in the store; we've only had two of these in our shop so far."
Catharina didn't respond to the attendant, but instead, asked Cristina, "Do you want to take this one, or should we ask for a new one to be brought in?"
"Let me see," she extended her hand.
The attendant handed the bag to Cristina with care.
