With a sad look, he held a small box, possibly a ring box.
"You were going to propose to her!?" Catharina raised her voice in surprise upon seeing this.
"Shhh!" Renato Lopes gestured for her to be quiet and spoke in a low, discouraged tone: "Yes, I was going to propose next month when we were going to vacation in Paris."
He added upon seeing the guilt on Catharina's face: "Don't feel guilty, as I said, I'm glad to find this out before making the proposal. At least I can accept it more easily. Although I admit I'm very upset to find out that the woman I love was cheating on me."
"I know it may sound cliché to say this, but I think I should tell you," Catharina said softly: "You're a good man; you're very handsome, have a good job, as far as I know, you're very respectful towards women, have a lot of charisma, are funny and much more."
