"Well There's twenty more towns to concur on the outer ring, they are all relatively poor so the kingdom shouldn't really care if they have all communications stopped between them" Tobca spoke firmly with a look of resolve. She inhaled "The problem is that one of the minor nobles is connected to the royal family" expressing her concerns, the wendigo nodded taking it into account.
"Tobca, I have to kill another royal as he is getting too close to us" Dyllis warned with a face of discontent. Tobca raised an eyebrow at her cannibal lover "How did you get your hands on that type of information?" her eyes glitter with interest in the matter.
The wendigo shaman face contrast into a rage "A noble asked me to land a hit on him, I didn't want to take up the job first but he gave me that valuable information that he knows about my clan" her calm aura lashed out sending whips through the air cutting through the building.
Lately, the wendigo shaman's anger has been getting more and more out of control 'must have something to do with me becoming into a wendigo shaman' she had thought multiple times. Her hunger had grown by bounds and leaps causing her some concern. She would subconsciously summon her magic to defeat incoming danger the past few months.
Dyllis noticed all of her changes even towards her clan's members, she tried to act as equals to them but deep down she felt disgusted on being on the same terms with the others. With her change of mood, everyone has been referring to her as Lady Dyllis or her Ladyship. For now, she wanted to focus on something else besides her rapid changes.
She had been receiving dove letters from the fourth prince as of lately with the excuse of wanting to be pen pals. The doves would drop off her letters at the cottage or if she didn't come back that night it would find her instead and deliver the letter straight to her. She scoffed, receiving her letter today tied to the dove leg while she cleaned up her gauntlets with a piece of cloth.
Time passed by quickly, and she got to know the fourth prince. He wasn't a terrible person, just extremely closed-minded against other races, Dyllis didn't blame him because of his living environments.
She put her gauntlets away and untied the letter from the dove leg and began to read it 'Would you come and visit me at the royal palace?' It read, Dyllius raised an eyebrow then looked at the Dove. She yanked out a small piece of paper writing 'It would be my honor your highness' tying that message to the dove she fed it and gave it some water before it took off.
Once she is sure the dove is gone she reverts back to her average form, her chest tightening in pain "I have been using this form for too long, at most I have fifteen more days till it enters into a cool down" she muttered to herself gasping in pain. She fell over clenching her chest, a coughing fit overtook her body, wheezing between coughs. After an hour had passed the penalty ceased letting the shaman breathe easily.
Ding!
"Quest visits the royal palace activated, the host will receive a human farm once completed" The system stated. Dyllis' eyes widened "aren't you being too generous?" she asked skeptically. The system remained quiet despite being provoked. Sighing Dyllis stretched her sore body carefully getting up from the forest floor, looking up at the sky "I guess I have time to drop by today" she muttered again.
Her form hopped through the trees with great ease, yawning tirelessly she easily made her way into the capital and snuck inside the royal palace. She had already changed her form back into her human one feeling slightly woozy. She planted her bottom inside the living room of the fourth prince living quarters next to his bedroom.
She didn't have to wait for long "Hello prince Valentine, did you have an exhausting day again?" She greeted him despite her just lazing on the sofa, he became intense very quickly once hearing her voice.
He looked over at her, looking like ice-cold water got dumped over him. "When did you get here, Dyllis?" the question surprised, the shaman raised an eyebrow at him "I got your letter so I decided to come by, I can leave if it's a bad time for you your highness" Dyllis stated as she lazily brought herself off of the couch.
"It's not a bad time at all Dyllis" he waved in dismissal wanting her to stay, she plopped her butt back onto the couch with a lazy expression. "Where did you come from this time?" He asked and sat down across from her "I wiped out a huge bandit base inside a large cavern" she replied in a bored tone.
One thing that prince eric had learned was she would only say what is needed, the 'gained' her trust or so he thought. He had decided to reveal his identity as a prince when he found out about her small 'family'. He still suspected her to be from some sort of demonic cult that eats human beings.
"Your highness, would you like to meet the rest of my family?" she uttered startlingly the prince, looked at her confused "What do you mean by the rest of your family?" he asked slowly, he kept his eyes on hers. She smiled "I have a lot of close friends that I consider as family Prince Eric Valentine" Dyllis replied blankly.
"Let me go check my schedule," He said before leaving to his room, after a few minutes he came back out. "I can spare tomorrow afternoon," he said with a small smile. Dyllis grinned at the prince with human teeth "Good, then I can go prepare" with that she got up again and jumped out of his window.
How she didn't die or break any bones from the drop is beyond his understanding.
