The giant pearl-like mammal finally made its way to a large metal gate a few guards pulled out their swords and pointed them at the giant and unfamiliar creature "State your business here at the city of Leopard" a guard with a sinister-looking hamlet ask aggressively. Tobca sat up and answer the guard since she is the only one that can speak at the moment "We are here for a place to rest and possibly find a few jobs" She answered curtly.
A few seconds pass before they all put their weapons back in their holsters "State your name age and gender" The guard spoke in a stern tone. Tobca gave a moment before replying to the annoying human "My name is Tobca and I am 20 years of age, I am a female" Then she brought Dyllis into view as her hood still covered her inhumane features "This blue cloaked girl here is my teammate, her name is Dyllis she is also 17 years of age" Tobca answer.
The guard continued to be nosy "IDs please to confirm your Identity" The sinister guard holds his hand out waited to receive the small cards, Dyllis reached into her inventory and pulled out the adventurer Id, Tobca did the same thing. Tobca took Dyllis Id then hand it to the guard. She wore light blue gloves the went all the way up to her biceps.
The sinister guard past it to another who checks the cards to see if they are the real deal, a few minutes past before it was brought back to the girls. they receive papers as well that had information about why they were here it was label as Business. The sinister guard didn't let them off the hook yet "Why do you both wear cloaks? and Why doesn't the red cloak one speak?" Dyllis got agitated by this question, an annoyed look appeared on her disfigured face of course no one else can see.
But Tobca felt a shiver go down her spine feeling her lover's annoyance "First of all I rather not have people gawk at me while they say cruel words to my teammate here and she is mute so that's why she can't speak you baboon!" Tobca felt that they weren't worthy of seeing her or Dyllis face. She felt protective over the Wendigo girl, she knew to these humans she would only be seen as a monster and would most likely kill her on spot or they would dislike her to figure out what she is.
Tobca also knew if she was found she would most likely be sold off as a slave to a brothel because she was a beautiful fairy/fae. Even worst than that she could be turned into a concubine of some human which greatly disgusts her to the point the thought almost made her vomit.
The sinister-looking guard let them off the hook and let them inside instructing them to find a place to park their Magical Beast. They didn't have to go far before they met a magical beast parking area, it had a large metal fence, a few of the beast were in their own little pens, it took up a huge space because of all the different sizes of the beasts.
They approach an archway door where a lady was standing, Dyllis got down to the ground and pulled out her book "How much does it cost to keep my magical beast here?" the book spoke which alarm the lady. She had short green hair and pointy ears, she was quite average looking but still had her own little charm to her, she wore commoners clothing.
"Miss/Sir it will depend on how long you are staying" The clerk replied with a polite tone, Dyllis scribble down into her book again "We will be here in this city for about a month for now" the book spoke in an emotionless tone. The green hair elf pulled a small note pad out of her pocket and flipped a few pages before replying to Dyllis "One Silver and thirty copper coins, also does your magical beast have any problem with other magical beasts?"
Dyllis looked at the beast remembering Elephants are scared of mouses or small creatures. Dyllis nodded her head before writing down once more "My Pearl Elephant doesn't do too well with a smaller magical beast but they are usually well 'behave'" the book spoke. The Elf lady nodded as she turned around and ran inside to inform the caretaker to set a place up for the giant magical beast.
Dyllis checked her money balance to see how much she had, which she was perfectly sure she had more than enough to pay for a place for her elephant to stay.
Coin Balance: Copper 165, Sliver 1
She pulled out the one sliver and thirty copper coins leaving her current balance to be 135 copper coins. She can feel her wallet hurting as she gave the money to the elf lady when she came back with a rope to help bring the elephant over to its own area.
Dyllis turned around and got a hold of Tobca hand before walking off to discover the city and to find another Guild so they can both get a job. Dyllis had no idea how much money the fae had but all she knew is that she needed more money to be able to afford to stay in such a bustling city filled with Humans and Elves
They didn't go too far before walking into an alleyway, Dyllis pulled out her mask and put it on, it morphed back to the sorrowful beauty. She pulled out her book and write "Let's go find that guild Tobca" Dyllis old voice said plainly, Tobca nodded and let the younger girl drag her along.
Tobca was sweating buckets earlier at the gate thinking they might not let her in since she is 'Half Fae' her kind usually gets killed at birth but since she is a princess she didn't get executed when newly born. The guards could have kept her there just for being a fae in general and kill her on sight.
She continues to leave her hood on so that people wouldn't harass her and her partner, they could have sent her off somewhere as a slave cause of her half-blood but they didn't which she was grateful for. But then again they could have thought she was Dyllis slave so that's probably why they didn't overreact.
