Zaahira was in the middle of a lecture. Her long brown hair tied up in a bun. She was focusing on making it through the class without any distractions. Her notes were in order and her phone was buzzing in her bag. Zaahira didn't want to answer it knowing fully well who was texting her.
Out of no where Zaahira gets a slight kick from behind. This forces Zaahira to turn around and look at the culprit. To her dismay it was the one person she was trying to ignore through out the whole class.
"Do you really have to do that?" Zaahira whispers angerly.
"You never answer my text. What else am I supposed to do?" Lilian whispers back.
"Not text in class."
"But that's not fun."
Lilian pouts, her pink hair compliment her innocent facade. Or what Zaahira believes is a facade. Zaahira is trying so hard not to use her emphatic ability after leaving her home. It was obvious that in doing so made her more distant and moody towards people.
"This isn't supposed to be fun," Zaahira whispers and sighs.
It was obvious that once they were dismissed Lilian was going to pull Zaahira to another gathering. But instead Lilian quickly hugs her, running off to a more energetic group of people. Her hair bouncing on her shoulders as she left.

Mayren was trying to help the moving crew bring her stuff into her new home for the time. Since they weren't letting her help she goes up to the woman who accepted her into their home.
"Sorry for asking you to let me live her on such short notice," Mayren says to Zara.
Zara looks at Mayren with a smile. She quickly ruffles her hair and walks to Mayren to her new room.
"It's no problem. I need another female in this house," Zara says.
"What about your sisters?"
"They're rarely here, they've been living next door for the most part. Don't worry about it."
Mayren nods and starts to organize what she has in her room. She knew that it was better to have get this done know before later. Zara left to make sure her brothers were helping out. Mayren wasn't focus on who was in her room
"What brings you to New York? School or work," Zara says leaning on Mayren's doorframe.
"Neither. I mean I did look into a few colleges. It wasn't the reason I came here," Mayren says while still organizing her room.
"Make sure you get a job before picking a college. That way you could pay off some of your debt when you're in school.
"You sound like a mom."
"Why thank you. You need someone to look out for you."
Zara gives Mayren a quick hug. It was quite unexpected and calming for Mayren. This was her fresh start for Mayren and she was going to do it right.
