When entering the classroom, the teacher scolds you and Hoseok for being late to class. You were quick to explain what happened and Mr Min let you off.
After a few minutes, a figure appears at the door and you notice it's Jimin. He looks at you with pleading eyes but you ignore him.
"Ah, Mr Park! Nice of you to finally join us." Mr Min speaks. The class behind him snickers at his statement.
Jimin hangs his head and scurries to his seat at the back of the class.
"Okay class, today we'll be continuing what we were talking about last week." The class cheers at his sentence and you tilt your head confused. "Chit chat with your partner while I find everyones booklets."
You turn to Hobi and tap his shoulder. When he turns you tilt your head and ask: "What did we do last week again?"
"Our point of view of Heroes and Villains." You nod your head and turn back around to face the front again.
"Okay, here they are. Jisung, please pass them around for me, will ya?" Mr Min orders Jisung and he hops to work.
Eventually, all the students get their work books and Mr Min starts to talk again.
"Why don't you start first Mr Park. That'll be your punishment for being late to my class." Jimin stutters and sweats as everyones eyes turn to him.
"W-what do I say?" Jimin asks.
"Tell me who you prefer. Heroes or Villains?" Mr Min replies, lazily.
"Oh, that's easy." Jimin clears his throat. "Heroes, of course."
"And why is that, young boy?"
"Heroes are the good people, they protect civilians and defeat the Villains. I mean, all Villains do is harm everyone just because they want the spotlight on them."
"Good choice of words. Would anyone like to object to Mr Park's statement?" Mr Min looks around at everyone but no one speaks.
"I would." You speak up.
Mr Min nods "Go ahead then."
"The only difference between a hero and a villain is perspective." You begin.
Jimin scrunches his face up in confusion. "That doesn't mean the Villain gets to harm people." Jimin spits back at you.
"A Villain is just another victim whose story hasn't been told." You shrug.
"Heroes are the good people, Villains are the bad people."
"Not necessarily." Jimin scoffs and you smile back. "If being a Villain is bad, then why do I relate to Villains so much? Does that mean I'm a bad person?"
"Heroes? Villains? Honey, life isn't black and white." Hangyul joins the conversation.
"Which do you prefer?" You ask your classmate.
"Hero, obviously." Hangyul gets up and walks over to Jimin.
"I'm a Villain and you're a Hero. Why? Because I'm done caring for shit and you think what you're doing is right! You cuss and the teacher glares over at you. You mutter an apology, quickly. "Saving the people? Right, that's your reason. Well, guess what? I'm here to save mine too. But you don't care about that, do you? Because you're the mighty, honorable, good and kind Hero, right?" You add.
"Exactly right, I save the people and you do the complete opposite." Jimin speaks too.
"You are diabolical." You scoff at them.
"What? Because you know we're right?" Hangyul chuckles.
"Heroes are good but they're bad too!" You raise your voice.
"Heroes are bad? What is a hero?" hangyul rolls his eyes.
"Glad you asked, sweetie. A hero is someone that justifies their sins by saying they're right." You reply back. The class oo-ed at your description of heroes.
"I agree with Seo-yeon. Behind every villain's motive, is a story that caused pain." Jiyeon agrees with you and you smile at her.
"Villains aren't born, they are created by those who fear them." You pucker your lips.
"A hero is just a villain who hasn't awakened yet while the villain is the true hero." Jiyeon adds too.
You look over your shoulder and see Mr Min nodding to what both you and Jiyeon are saying. You smile with triumph.
After 2 hours of bickering over Heroes and Villains the class ends.
"I want you guys to write an essay on why you think your preferred Hero/Villain is your favourite and why they deserve more recognition than the opposite."
Everyone seems happy with the essay they've gotten and leave the class. You walk out with Hobi and your new friend Jiyeon.
"Well, that was an interesting class." Jiyeon giggles.
"Ugh, tell me about it. Just because the Heros save the world doesn't mean the Villain is the bad guy." You grit your teeth.
"Shall we get a coffee before we go to our next class?" Hobi asks you and Jiyeon.
"Yeah, come on." You grin.
The trio heads to the coffee shop outside the school and you all buy a different drink each.
When leaving the coffee shop, you spot Jimin and Eunhee holding hands and talking sweetly to each other. You nostril flare in anger and you march away from their direction.
"Seo-yeon!" Jiyeon shouts. "Slow down!" She and Hobi chase after you.
You cuss at them in your head when you see that Jimin had noticed you and was walking in your direction. Argh, for fuck sakes.
His hand taps your shoulder and you stiffen. "What do you want?" You snap at him.
"I-I just want to talk to you about something. I looked into the boy, Sungmin, for you." Jimin stutters but then pulls himself together.
You snap your head round at him and hang on to his words. "And what did you find?" You practically beg for an answer.
"He's alive and I also found out where he's staying."
