GREG had learned that Liz was into Spencer over time. But, he wasn't going to give up so easily.
Going to the cafeteria for some quick break, he sighted her eating lunch at the far end of the cafeteria and decided to try his luck one more time.
"You're eating alone ehn, no friends?" He approached her.
"Just sit and eat Greg" she sighed. He sat opposite her for some time before speaking up. "How is Spencer?"
"He's fine. Haven't you been hearing from him?" Liz cut his stare.
"Yeah. It's just that I see you two--"
"Look Greg. I don't wanna talk about Spencer and I" she snapped.
Hmm, Greg thought. "What if I wanna make it my business?" Greg snapped back at her.
"Look Greg, the trouble you caused between my sister and I is more than enough. I don't want you causing more trouble"
"How does that have to do with you and Spencer?" He continued.
"Me and Spencer?" She asked confused.
"Like... The thing going on between you two" Greg said.
Liz smirked. "..and who told you something is going on between both of us?"
"Look Liz, I know you're hiding the truth about you and Spencer. But, I don't see why you hate me?" He let out.
Liz frowned at that; "hate you? Stop it Greg. I don't"
"Well, I do like you.. like, like-like you, but I'm not getting any response. Huugh...why don't you like me?" He gave up frustratingly.
She smiled. "I like you Greg, you're a nice friend"
"Nah, I don't want you to see me as a friend" he pushed on.
"Okay. Then you might just as well see me as Liz Rhyndorust and I'll see you as Greg Harry Wessex...and nothing more" she beamed drinking her wine glass.
"Liz--"
"Greg you should do yourself a favor and stop having unnecessary hopes. I'll always see you as a friend" she smiled, patting him. Liz wanted to tell Greg what Meghan felt for him, why she can't love him, why she can't give him a chance to offend her sister but instead she said; "we're not just meant to be Greg"
"But Spencer is" he frowned.
That caused Liz to almost pour her spoon of hot rice on her body. "I guess you're not hungry Greg and you're bound to get me distracted from my food. I should find another sit" she left the table.
Immediately she left, he saw Uncle Hugh behind the front window. He froze and bowed his head, praying ceaselessly that Uncle Hugh didn't hear a word he said.
He slowly peeped looking up again and found Uncle Hugh still at the same position. He swallowed and left the cafeteria.
