Taylor decided to doll herself up a bit as it had been a while since she had been to a party. She had always classed herself as chunky, she had the curves but after having he precious little gremlin she just gained the weight, she was happy with how she looked but wished she could the weight from her tummy.
As Taylor was rifling through her wardrobe, she decided to text James and asked if there was a theme to this party.
He instantly replied: Just go classy!! ^.^
Taylor just sighed and picked out her black skater dress and paired it with a soft black shawl, tights, and her favorite pair of booties. She did her make-up lightly and decided she was done after taking a sip of her second glass of gin. James walked through the door. "Hai beautiful lady, your bestie is here to take you away" Taylor rolled her eyes and giggled at him. "Just a minute pea brain and I will be right there". James who was in the living room laughed at her reply and waited for her.
As soon as she stepped out of her room after spritzing a little perfume, she looked at James who whistled "Damn girl you look great!!", "Really you don't think I look like an idiot?" at this James scowled at her "When have I ever lied to you, damn I wish you would just accept a damn compliment" Taylor rolled her eyes and replied "You know that I can't help it", James sighed. "Well let's get going its been a while since you let your hair down". With this, both of them got into his car, and as usual, Taylor took over the sound system.
At the party
Devon was to the side of the living room watching everyone with his keen eyes. He was not expecting his best friend Ryder to have a party tonight but he felt that he had not really spent much time with him as he had been working quite hard lately. Ryder stood close to his best friend and noticed all the fanciful gazes that were aimed their way. Devon was 6ft 1, soft black hair that had a hint of midnight blue to it under certain lights, striking green eyes, and a chiseled face, he looked like an adonis that had just walked off the cover of Vogue or something, Ryder was of similar height and build but he had shaggy blond hair and dazzling blue eyes. He looked around and sighed. "Well your still the same as ever", Ryder commented. Devon's mesmerizing green eyes moved to him and said "Well that's funny so are you" the two friends just stared at each other then laughed.
Ryder was known to be the wild child whilst Devon was the happy go lucky, fun guy but had a serious side to him when he worked. "C'mon let us go and socialize with all of these happy people" Devon laughed as he spotted something out of the corner of his eye. His breath hitched a little as he looked at Taylor who just walked in with James laughing at something he said. He had never seen such a lovely looking cutie. A small smile graced his face as he noticed her, Ryder was too busy looking at all the people he was supposed to chat with, with a smile on his face he dragged Devon with him, in the opposite direction of the cute Lil chibi woman he was staring at.
After Taylor had finished laughing at the comment James just made she felt eyes on her but when she went to look at the direction the gaze came from the gaze vanished. Taylor shivered a little then relaxed and decided to get James to get them drinks, just as James left, Taylor scanned the scene in front of her and was swaying lightly at the music playing. Looking around she saw two handsome men that made her feel a little self-conscious but when her eyes met Devon's she was grounded by how beautiful his eyes were. Heat raced to her cheeks and she looked away. Devon chuckled slightly at her reaction.
James came back with drinks and offered her one, looking at her face he laughed and teased her a little "So miss prissy who's caught your attention?" Taylor gave James a small glare that held no heat "No-one in particular but everything is so bubbly and lively in here". "Yeah, that kind of the point of a party" James laughed when Taylor bumped him and then laughed harder at her little expression of indignation.
Taylor decided she would dance after she had a few drinks, she was dancing in a sea of people like James to quote himself " I can't dance for shit you know this but you have fun and I will see you in a bit" Taylor had nodded at him and gone dancing for a while. After a while, Taylor decided she needed some air and went to the garden on her own. Standing under a gorgeously arched pavilion leaning against the rails and staring at the sky, she frowned as her memories became a little dark remembering things that she wished she could forget. A lone tear slid down her face.
Devon who had been looking for the cute little chibi girl found her and stared at her silently for a while, looking at her face he felt a tight pain in his chest. He could see the pain she kept hidden away from the world, and he thought that she should never have gone through anything that could take that small dimpled smile off her face. Devon decided he was going to make himself known to this cute little chibi woman, so made his way towards her. Taylor could feel someone was approaching and turned a little, spotting his bright green eyes she couldn't look away and heat finally climbed up her face to her cheeks. Taylor looked down at this and Devon chuckled.
Devon found himself imitating her stand against the railing and decided now was as good a time as any to talk to her. "Hey there little one, can I just say you look amazing" Taylor raised her brown but had a smile fighting to stay on her face as he said this." Thank you ^^ you look amazing too, your eyes are an amazing color" He smiled at her words, "Thanks, so what brings you out here instead of inside?" Devon asked.
"Well, to be honest, I don't mind letting my hair down but it was getting a little overwhelming for me and I needed so air... Oh god, I sound like a weirdo don't I?" Talor sighed. Devon chuckled "Not at all little one if you need to take a breather you should" He smile was dazzling and bright and made her spine tingle a little.
