The night is too cold yet cosy. Father is smiling widely while slicing down the meat, serves by the maids.
Mother sits on next to him. She looks happy as she would wink at me most of the time.
"Jack, what is your plan?"
Father asks him.
"Mister Thomas, I don't want to rush things up between me and your daughter. In fact, I am giving all the freedom to her regarding our wedding."
Jack looked at me for a moment that makes me uncomfortable.
I didn't either expect that he will let me decide about it.
Father chuckles and replies, "See Thallujah? I know that our daughter will marry the King when she grows up."
"Father, please... Don't tell him about that thing."
I feel embarrassed even though I am not Thalia. Maybe it's because I'm in her body, manipulating and pretending to be her.
Jack stoops and whispers into my ears, "Don't be too shy, Thalia. Sooner or later, you will be my wife and the mother of my child."
