Ruby can feel her legs shaking and her arms failing to lift her scythe. She placed her palm on Azrael's blade cutting it open and spilling her warm crimson blood on the purple blade confusing the witch hunter.
The whole weapon glowed and traveled to her body. Ruby stood up, her limbs stopped trembling and her mind is no longer clouded.
"Azrael can kill anything to oblivion but it can also give blessings to those it favors by offering their blood allowing Azrael to grant a wish. A simple wish of giving me the power to kill you however this effect can only be used once a day so let's be quick before it's magic runs thin."
"You can pray all you want to all the demon's in hell but that won't help you because I will shot you down and send you where they are."
"Is that your best plan? I kind of expected..." Suddenly she was in front of the marksman who gapped at her incredible speed. "More."
Ruby slashed him again and again. Left, right, top, down and Cairus barely managed to step away every time her blade aims to finish him off however he didn't manage to evade a bash to his head with the handle of her weapon and being taken down as she sliced her scythe to his feet which luckily didn't cut them off as she had not intended to do so. She wanted to toy with him first before chopping him to pieces a plan he intended to do to her.
Ruby aimed to jump on top of him and stab his gut with the pointy end of her scythe but Cairus kicked her on her stomach as he propelled himself to stand sending her to collide against the wall of her house, knocking the air out of her lungs.
"Is that enough to give you more? Little lady, I'm just getting started. I hope you didn't get too cocky with a few hits cause I'm about to bring out the big guns."
He threw another smoke bomb at her and then shot another quick draw bullet which managed to pierce her leg making her yelp out in pain.
"More banging less talking!" she yelled throwing his pendulum at him that successfully wrapped around his arm. She pulled the chain and propelled herself forward out of the smoke and making him stagger towards her. She aimed to land her feet on his chest but he blocked it by crossing his arms in defense and grabbing her ankle to throw her violently on the ground.
Ruby tumbled on the soil for a few seconds before she managed to collect her bearings and evade a barrage of bullets from piercing her body. She released ten consecutively shockwaves towards the marksman who was barely able to dodge the attacks by bending over and sidestepping. The witch had swung them already predicting where he will land making it almost impossible to avoid being killed. The last one had hit him completely and knowing the nature of the witch, the damage she had done to him restored a great deal of her HP. What he didn't expect next was being hooked by the witch and then being spun around hanging on her scythe which sent him to another tree. Cairus groaned trying to pull himself back on his feet only to be pushed back down by the sole of her boot.
"Seen the difference between you and me?" she spat coldly, her warm golden eyes turned cold as a blizzard while she gazed down at him with loathing.
"Did you seriously think that you could defeat someone like me who has been fighting life and death for centuries now? Then you really are dense to think that you could win." She lifted her scythe to finally end him but Cairus was able to move faster since her weapon is heavy. He broke a container with his poisoned smoke bombs and threw it at her face making her reel back in pain and drop her scythe as she held her face. Ruby released a deafening yell and crawled away from the marksman.
She quickly activated purify to remove the poison but her eyes still stung and she can hardly see in her blurred vision however she can see his faint image approaching her. She crawled back.
"All this talk about being invincible and better and now you're crawling away from me. How pitiful." He commented following after her matching her pace while slowly loading the cylinder of his revolver with normal bullets. He took his time to torment her with her impending death.
"Ohh please you can't take me down if you don't cheat." Ruby argued trying to stand on her wobbling legs like a newborn child only to collapse back down. She can still barely see him and the poison had left her limbs weak and her head pounding as it circulates her body.
"Cheating or not you are still the one crawling in the dirt, not me." He replied loading his last Thanatos bullet into the cylinder and pushing it in before spinning it. He decided to only put two normal bullets in and one witch slaying one leaving the other three empty. He pointed his gun at the witch who glared at him menacingly. He figured that she must be regaining her vision but she still can't move much less do anything. Her magic won't work, the poison he used against her is blocking off her magic circuit from activating rendering her powerless and vulnerable to his mercy which he doesn't possess for the likes of her
"Shall we play?" he asked with a low insulting tone.
"Fuck y- aaahhhh!" she screamed as he shot her chest.
She didn't burn up in flames so he guessed it must be a normal one. She screamed again cursing him. He pointed his gun at her face making her look away before pulling the trigger but this one is empty. Such a shame but tormenting her is fun.
"Dancing over a tomb will cause you your own death. Just be done with it already." she growled pushing against the wound to stop the bleeding which barely helped. It hurt like hell even though it wasn't an immortal slaying bullet especially since he had laced it with poison.
"Beg. I want to hear you begging." he ordered narrowing his eyes in amusement.
"Over my dead body!" She yelled throwing a knife at him which surprised the marksman but unluckily for her he had caught it.
"The last words of the damned. Farewell, Butterfly Witch. I shall be your executioner. Perhaps when we meet in hell will I finally be able to fuck your pussy in the throne of the Devil himself. For now, wait for me on the other side."
Ruby closed her eyes and didn't look away. She accepted her death already feeling her body weakening and collapsing due to the amount of blood loss. Her legs trembled in fear. She didn't want to die. She didn't want to die. Not here. Not right now.
She can't go to Geneva and Gallen's wedding if she's wearing her death gown.
No one will take care of Manticat and cook his meals.
She doesn't know if Aleister is safe or alive.
She hasn't told Phoebus her true feelings yet and she never managed to kiss his lips.
She hasn't freed herself from Neherra's curse nor found her true Happily Ever After like Adrian wanted.
She never managed to travel the world and see its beauty like her mother wanted. Like she wanted.
Mommy save me, please!!
Uncle, please keep the monster away again!!
Adrian please come back for me!!!
Aleister please save me again like you did before. You'll go back, right? You won't let me die? Please. Please.
Phoebus? Will you be coming for me to sweep me off my feet like last time! Please come. Please save me.
I don't want to die! I don't want to die!!
Please!!
Anyone!!
I can't die.
I can't die.
I can't die.
I can't die.
I can't die!
I CAN'T DIE!!
I CAN'T DIE!!!
I CAN'T DIE!!!!

No one will save you stop being foolish. This isn't a fairytale your not a princess or a damsel in distress. You're the witch. You're the Evil Queen. You're the bad guy. You don't get redemption so stop being pathetic!! Your mother? Uncle? Adrian? Aleister? Phoebus?
Don't be stupid no one will save you and give you a happily ever after.
You're wanted to be a witch, didn't you? Well here's your payback.
You want to live?
Then save yourself and stop begging to be rescued or else the wolf will gobble you.
The hunter will never come because YOU ARE the HUNTER!
And the wolf?
Is just in front of you, waiting to gobble you whole just before watching you tremble. Look at him he's enjoying tormenting you. Relishing in your grief before he kills you.
Are you a princess?
No.
Are you his prey?
Never.
Are you going to die in his hands without a fight till your last breath?
No, but he will!!
One shot. On spell. One life. One tomorrow.
You know what to do right?
Yes!!
She will live and he will perish.
"Hey, marksman. Last word?" she said with an ominous smile.
"Very well I shall humor it. I am generous even to the dead." he lowered his gun and gazed down at her with amusement, utterly amused by her weak and dying form. He relished in the sight of her weakness while his blood tingle by her hollowed state.
"You know I played in the tournament once and used a really dope spell. It's really effective at killing dying noobs." she talked with a cherry voice as if she was talking to a friend.
"Are you hoping to save yourself with such a cheap spell? Really I hoped that you had more class than that. Not that it mattered anyway since you can't use your magic. I fried your magic circuits. You're clinging to empty hope." He mused at her desperation. Seeing her tormented and clinging to the thinnest string to keep herself alive all for nothing.
"You keep thinking of me as merely immortal and a butterfly witch but I'm also... a dragon's descendant!" It was too late for Cairus to realize what she meant as a fiery projectile shot him backward
How can he be so forgetful? Dragons create mana and magic merely by breathing while their descendants can't actually do it to this extreme, their blood however is a powerful catalyst of magic. Even a regular human could perform magic with dragon's blood and right now she is bleeding lots of it.
Before he can fall to the ground he lifted his gun and pointed it to the witch and shot his last bullet. If he's going to die he's going to take her with him and fuck her up in hell. He will ravish her and punish her again and again until she is reduced to nothing but a slave!
Ruby closed her eyes. She can literally see everything in slow motion especially the green bullet about to pierce her heart. She casted that one last spell to say her farewells and watch the petals of her roses fall on the ground as she will soon do. She can't move anymore she lost too much blood. Breathing itself is difficult. She is pinned to the ground while her death approaches every second.
She wanted to create a spell that can repel the bullet but she knows that it won't work. The bullet can nullify any spell she can cast with magic in it so she manipulated something that she can that can also affect the bullet so she chose time.
She delayed one second into one minute. No thoughts currently race inside her head. Even though she knew she was going to die she doesn't know what to think or say. Normally a person who has one minute would say goodbye to everyone they knew but she couldn't do that as well. All she could do was stare at the roses. No muscle move in her body. Cairus had punctured important nerves but luckily she can't also feel any pain right now.
Really she couldn't even avoid it even if she evaded. He had written her name on it and now it's a curse that will pierce her heart and end her life. The rose petals are pretty though. Falling slowly and lightly, descending with grace and beauty down to the dull cold soil of death.
She feels tired. One after the other, people and monsters are trying to kill her. She kind of feels like that cartoon boy named Steven facing people who wanted to murder him left and right, but unlike him, she doesn't have a family or any friends like his to help her get through it all. She probably deserved it for all the vile things that she did in the past. For all the people she allowed to die due to her selfish reasons. It really was so fucked up how they called her a hero and made statues of her without knowing that she was the one that got their loved ones killed.
Her head is getting lighter and her vision is getting darker. She's going to die now and the bullet will finalize it. It's only 10 seconds away. She closed her eyes and finally let darkness take away her pain.
"You are a troublesome woman you know."
The voice got her to open her eyes and saw a man clad in white decorated by blue and gold. He stood in front of her over the sunlight illuminating his silhouette and blinding her with its brilliance. He held the bullet between his fingers and crushed it in his palms pulverizing the threat of her existence.
"Phoebus? You've come for me?" she mumbled in disbelief.
"What the hell? I've been gone for a short time and the name of another man comes out of your mouth? I'm jealous, little witch." he pouted kneeling in front of her and lifting her chin with his index finger.
"Aleister? Wha- You're alive?" Ruby questioned making sure that she's not hallucinating.
"Yes. I am and what the hell happened here? That bastard really did a number on you, huh." he asked with a worried face.
"I can't believe you're okay. You had me worried there. I thought I'm never going to see you again." she whispered as tears started falling from her eyes.
"Hey, don't cry on me like that I look like the bad guy here."
"It doesn't feel real. I'm dead right? We're both dead. Are we in hell?" she asked in disbelief. Aleister sighed in her faithlessness.
"Words won't be enough to make you believe, won't it? Let me show you how real I am." Ruby was taken aback when Aleister suddenly crashed his lips against hers in a warm and gentle passion. His lips were soft and full of sincerity as he danced it with her pink ones.
He held her cheek and deepen the kiss. Ruby felt his mana flowing in her body helping her galvanize her cells and propelling her magic to work and heal her body. Her tissues started fixing themselves while the bullets popped out of her wounds, her bones were realigned and repaired while her blood is being replenished making the color return to her features.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer responding to his kiss and relishing the taste of his affection. She sighed when his hand touched her waist and caressed it. She pulled away.
"This doesn't mean anything. I'm just using you to save myself, got it?" Ruby muttered with a huge blush.
"Of course it doesn't. Now let's help you some more." he said before kissing her neck, trailing butterfly kisses along her sensitive skin. "Your sweat smells like milk."
Ruby moaned and Aleister took this chance to push his tongue inside her mouth and ravish her orifice.
"H-hey Aleister," Ruby called when he pulled away.
"Yeah?" he replied absorbing her features and drinking in her flustered beauty.
"Welcome home."
