He swung his Katana from left to right, causing the dust to disappeared from sight. Thus, he about to jump towards the flying motorcycle but the girls quickly shouted.
"Wait! Let us give you something in return!"
He stopped what he was doing and turned his body. Since I am here and these girls about to reward me, why not?
No one hates a reward, his first thought was to reject their offer but think it clearly, he needs some money.
He approached them but before that, he plants the tip of his Katana to the ground and helped them get down from the truck. Especially the pregnant woman, he helped her patiently with a calm face.
"Thank you." She said with a smile and Tornado nodded, he then surveys the surroundings before asked.
"What you two doing here anyway?" Two females on a dim night on the highway on top of an abandoned truck is without a doubt suspicious.
Is it possible they are faking their weaknesses and lure players to help them and after that, they kill that player and stole its dropped item? He thought to himself.
As if reading his thoughts, the girl on her fifteen said. "I don't know what you thinking but we are not what you think."
Tornado stunned for a brief moment then introduce himself and asked for their names. The pregnant woman is Erna and the fifteen-year-old girl is Saya.
Saya is a petite girl with wavy blond hair that styled in a bob with fringes reaching her eyebrows. She has fair skin to count.
Just seeing these two is like seeing a mother and daughter but Tornado could guess very well that both of them has a close relationship, but it still didn't make sense why a pregnant woman would be here.
Erna on the other has a mature face with long black hair, she has eyebrows with a straight bow shape.
Saya was wearing a black dress military uniform with mostly gold accents and a silver tie and arm band that matches the silver on the skirt.
While Erna wears one set dress with flowery patterns. It must be hard to move around wearing a dress, heck why she even wears it in the first place?
Keeping the questions to himself, he averts his gaze to Saya.
Saya tells him that both of them are hunting a strange creature that if it could be captured, it could give them a random power but with certain costs.
Tornado asked what kind of power the creature will give them but they shake their heads disappointedly and turns out that they lack the information about it.
"Then why both of you looking for it if didn't know what power you'll gain?"
Random powers are like playing Russian Roulette, if that creature gives both of them a power beyond their body could handle, they would die before had the chance to use it.
Seeing two females hunting in the middle of the night without a man. Furthermore, one is pregnant and wearing a dress. Just how brazen these two are? He thought to himself.
Are they going to be fine though? He added.
He can't help but be worried about these two girls but it was not his job to change their mind or ask the reason why would they go so far.
Hearing his words, both of them look at each other for a few breaths, seems they are talking through each other's gaze before finally nodded.
Here's the brief conversation from those gazes.
Erna: We need him to help us.
Saya: But how we going to do that?
Erna: I'll think a way and you brought me some time, deal?
Saya: Alright deal.
"It's a gamble. We must capture it before next month arrives." Saya said as she makes eye contact with Tornado while Erna pinches her chin.
Tornado felt something behind those gazes. It was like a sign or something and Tornado is aware of it and without showing any hesitation, he said.
"I cannot help you." He said with a tone of regret. If Jun isn't in danger, he will help them to earn a few bucks.
…
Jun is inside the white room that was the size of a small bacteria, floating aimlessly. She sits there in the corner with a cute smile as elevator music is played on the room.
…
"Ah…" Saya blinked as she didn't expect he would aware of her gaze with its meaning. What's more, he rejects it before she could say anything! Thus, to turn the table, she asked.
"What are you talking about?" She asked awkwardly and Tornado replied.
"Oh, I thought you asking me for help with your pleading eyes. It seems I get the wrong idea."
Tornado is like a different person right now, from a carefree person to a person with dignity and pride.
Anyhow, next month is October and the Zombie Party is started by the time, is it has something to do with that? Well, if it is. It has nothing to do with him.
Still, these girls come into this extent to capture it, they must be in serious need of power.
Tornado then remembers the day when he first play the game and at the time, he wants to become strong to protect himself until a fateful event that changes everything.
Rather than a fateful one, it was more like a mistake but that is for another story to tell.
He still remembers those days, wanting to be stronger to protect himself by grinding levels, materials, weapons and exps.
Then, out of the blue. His moral senses kick back while saying.
'Ahahaha, I'm back! You should help them Tornado!'
He can't hear those words but can feel it. He must leave before his moral senses get the best of him.
"Well, I must go now and about the reward. I don't need them. Also, do you have any paper?"
Tornado's words make the girls panicked, Erna's brain is shifting to full gear while Saya thinks a way to make Tornado stays here as long as possible but before that, she grabs a book from her inventory and rips a paper and then giving it to him.
Receiving the paper, a pen suddenly materialised from pixels.
"Show me your back." He ordered and Saya looks at him sceptically before following his words.
Tornado place the paper behind her back to make it easy for him to write something. This leaves Saya perplexed, she never saw a person would do something like this shamelessly.
"What are you doing?" She asked curiously. How come she not? The person suddenly asked for a paper and write something on it to which Tornado replied.
"I cannot help you for now but I can't let two ladies out here in the middle of the night sleeping on the soil." He flips the paper.
"I know both of you have the necessary equipment but the night is full of zombies, furthermore this area had spawn rate increased by a percent from the latest update."
Saya's left brow raise in confusion, "In short?"
"There is no safe area here and even if you find one, zombies will spawn there. Here." He formed the paper to a ball before giving it to her.
"What's this?" She opens the paper and saw scribblings and looking at it very carefully, it seems it was a map. Saya gives it to Erna.
"It was a hidden safe area. An old bar with electric fences surrounding it and an old lady owns it." He keeps the pen on his right pocket jeans before walking away and with his back is the only thing the two girls could see, he said.
"This is the least I can do to help you." He approached the Katana he embedded earlier and pull it out from the ground and when he was about to leave, Erna shouted.
"Catch!" Tornado reflexively turned around and grabs the upcoming small sack with the size of a hand palm with his right hand, he catches it as if it was a baseball.
When catching it, it makes this sounds of metals hitting at another.
Saya's eyes are wide in disbelief upon seeing the sack. "Erna you can't be serious." She looks at Erna.
"We owe him a lot, Saya." She replied as she turned her gaze from Tornado to Saya whose height is barely reaching her chest.
'These are gold coins?' He muttered as he takes a peek, his heart is full of excitement but holding it, his face is showing a simple smile and lightly nodded.
"Thank you. Right, before I go. I want to ask. Have any of you see a creature with a green pupil on its right eye and blue pupil on its left eye?" He asked as he twirls his Katana before storing it to his inventory.
They both hunt a creature so maybe they have a clue about the one he just met earlier. He believes it was because of it, his statuses are the way it is now and his level from almost reaching a thousand to one, yes one!
