Chapter Forty-one: The Dream
An unknown amount of period passed before Haneul gradually peeled her eyes open. The scenery before her was no longer the dining hall of the Imperial Palace, but a vast land filled with green trees and grass. Not too far was a small and lively village. The birds were singing and the boars are running around freely. It was such a lovely and peaceful place.
The last thing she remembered was drinking a cup of wine. After that, everything went black. She did not fret or anything since she was expecting for the passing-out-scene to happen. It happened in the original novel, after all.
As much as Haneul wanted to avoid being poisoned by someone she is familiar with, she could not. In the novel, because of the Empress who passed out during the coming-of-age ceremony, Han Wangchul would unleash a new talent. He would be desperate to save Haneul that it triggered him to be much more stronger and venerable.
