I stared at my phone...10 missed calls and messages keep coming in ... I could hear his voice....I just started working and since we are not allowed to use our phones, I could only check it at home... I immediately replied and informed him of my first job. He was glad to know the events were flowing very well..."I'll wash up first".
When he did not reply anymore, I have put my phone down, went in for a shower.. Moments after dressing up, my phone suddenly rang... His name popped up on the screen... I answered it and an energetic voice greeted me....
"Yes! You finally pick up the phone"...
"S..sorry for the missed calls...we are not allowed use our phones at work *sigh*"..
"Nah, it is fine as long as even if the day is about to end, I was still able to hear your voice"...
He asked me how my day went, made sure I was doing great and told me that he visited my parents and made sure they are doing just fine.
Our country was not rich neither was our families. It was also my other reason for working hard just to be sucessful. My mother was a housewife and my father was only an employee of a company.. Yet they did everything to provide me a comfortable life. Chris on the other hand has a father who is a businessman and a mother who is also a housewife... Things were really just like the same for me and him...maybe that is one of the reasons why we just clicked..
*yawn*... I was lying on the bed still telling him the details of the events that has occured.. then heard him yawn a little, I look at the clock beside me and saw that it was already 11 at night... But I remembered that time is different from my place and that it is 3 am there by now... *If you are already tired, you could have slept already and not wait for me anymore*.. I gave him a scolding in my mind...
"why did you suddenly became silent?"... said on the other side of the phone...
"I'll continue some other time...for now you need sleep, don't push yourself and stop staying up too late!"...

"No buts!" I quickly refuted...
Him: But..this is the only time I could talk to. you... If I were to sacrifice my sleep just to talk to you.. I would not sleep for a year...
