Chapter 3 - Dark blessings and blessed information

The silence remained constant, Beelzebub had not moved in the least and the perplexed group of vampires had directed their full attention to the artifact sphere that had brought that young man.

Bladshthirt was particularly dismayed that he had been the one who had carried out the entire invocation ritual and proposed the idea of it, but yet he had not been the first to feel that special aura which the young man was to convey, for it must have been his aura, if not he didn´t explain how he had managed to bring a prince of misery to his knees.

On the other hand Heikerms and Svan didn´t know very well what to do, the carefree attitude of the young man invoked together with his attire and the way he had to speak and answer his questions did not correspond to his ideal of dark lord, Although for Heikerms who had observed Dracula's attitude in the past didn't think that out of the conventional was bad, it was just weird.

The tension in the room was only increasing as well as the vampire's desire to investigate the sphere, but they simply couldn't move, the uncertainty of not knowing what would happen was killing them, Beelzebub had been the first to make a move and now he was on the ground, what would happen to them? In addition to direct their attention to the sphere they should turn their back on the young man and that was too dangerous, the idea of making only one of them turn came to their mind but quickly faded, If only one obtained the necessary information and the same thing that happened to Beelzebub happened to him they wouldn´t know if they were under attack or if they were simply overwhelmed by the aura of the young man, in any case it was very dangerous to act.

Options about what to do were running out just as the young man's patience was running out again.

—For how long do you plan to observe me in such an unpleasant way?—He rebuked the vampires.

Almost as if it were a reflex action the 3 turned around, now that they had already turned there was no time to lose, at the speed of the lightning they went towards the sphere and without time to lose deposited the palms of their hands on this, but they did not notice anything, which meant that they had been involved in a monumental failure.

They barely turned back in the direction of the young man, it was time to face reality, but only after having touched the sphere and having decided to face reality was that this same one hit them head on, because in front of them they found an insane vision.

The devourer of kingdoms, the destroyer of hopes, the ruler of misery, the prince of darkness, chaos, the clash of reality against imagination, the great return, the self-warping apparition, the craftsman of existence, the dark blessing, the lost wisdom, the terrifying silence, the shadow that was and returned, the bearer of pain, the master of nightmares, the All.

The 3 vampires were completely overwhelmed, when they looked at the young man they no longer observed his humanoid form, but a torrent of sacred light bathed by the necros, it was the point at which the reality they knew ended and the madness began, they understood why Beelzebub had fallen, they had felt it from a distance, but he had touched it and witnessed it closely, he had touched and witnessed the darkness and it had watched back, they were speechless.

Walfos sighed long and heavy, it turned out that now the new way to get high was to touch spheres in a group and that shit hitted hard as hell, those guys were crying, on the ground or both and on top they couldn't even talk, Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin but he could swear that discovery was nothing compared to the astral drug these people were carrying, although to have appeared in a coffin he too must have been a little ill, either that or there was magic, opting for the second option Walfos got pretty happy.

At first the group of 4 being completely speechless was convenient, Walfos had his time to think, sort his ideas and choose what his course of action would be, on the other hand those people were still very shocked and the silence began to bother him, although it was that discomfort that made him feel satisfied, feelings like that made him remember who he was and what he had achieved despite his limitations as well as the fact that he could feel things so his body had not been affected by anything yet.

Without more to do and tired of that lamentable spectacle, Walfos got out of bed, the sight of that weird guy on his knees in front of him was not at all comforting so he bent down to catch Beelzebub, he had two grip options, actually 3, the first was to carry him on his back as if he were a small child, the second was to carry him with his arms and hands, the classic Princess Style and finally he could drag him.

Since the situation had been one in which Walfos had been paralyzed for a while, he opted for the second option, in his opinion it was the one that attracted the most attention, dragging it would also serve, but it would be annoying to hear the noise it would make against the ground besides that that subject would be stained and in view of the fact that he did not know who he was, he did not consider it a good option.

In the first instance Walfos thought that that strange man would react to being grabbed, but he continued in his trance despite this as they did the others did not seem to care much that they grabbed his partner, or at least did not notice, although that was a little complicated since he was in front of them.

—Looks like you're not getting an answer—Whispered a voice in Walfos's mind.

—It's not time to discourage him, in fact, it's time to take advantage—Said a thick voice.

—Be that as it may, it will be better to act before they begin to speak—Said another one with sighs.

—Oh great dynamic trio—Thought the young man to later notice how everything was stopping around.

From one moment to another Walfos left that luxurious instance to appear in a dark place whose only source of light were 3 candles, these candles were at the height of Walfos this because they were on a throne each, these thrones were distributed like the tips of a triangle circumscribed to a circle.

—Darkness again, what novelty.... At least there are candles this time, What are we playing? I choose throne and you go out or I have to guess the difference in each one of them, although they look quite equal.

—It is not a game, the sphere that has brought you has in it condensed the essence of us 3, that is why we now live partially inside you—Announced the deep voice.

—As the sphere has brought you now you can use the essence—Assured the whispering voice.

—Unfortunately we are no more than that, essence, we were able to maintain our consciousness in the sphere as a method of survival and because you have been the chosen one because now we live here—Sentenced another voice between sighs.

—Ah, well, you'll have to pay me rent then.

—What?—The low voice asked, losing its serious tone

—I mean, you didn't think to be around talking to me like schizophrenic voices, for free, did you?

—The truth is—Another voice sighed with reluctance—We were going to give you something, we have very little power left and in reality it will not serve us at all, so it´s better to prepare you with what we have left so that our sphere strategy serves for something.

—And how will you do that?—The young man wondered in doubt.

—Aproach to the thrones and sit on each of them, you can condense our power and gain an ability for each one of us—Explained the whispering voice—But don't be too ambitious, if you ask for something too powerful it won't do any good.

—Quiet my shy friend, I can be very powerful normally, but there are 3 things I need to be as powerful as I want, and they are not really great, or I think so, considering that according to you you have put your essence in a sphere and you have powers and those weird things so this shouldn't be much.

—Then go ahead-

—Wait wine addict, the boy has called me shy, I want you to explain—The whispering voice interrupted the thick voice.

—Well, just whisper, I figured you'd be ashamed.

—It is not for that, my voice has the power of death, a single word said aloud and-

—Didn't you run out of power?—He interrupted the indignant voice—Anyway, I'll get the one you have left, then I want to hear you loud and clear.

With no more to say Walfos headed for one of the thrones, if he could be considered to be at the base of the triangle he went to the bottom right corner.

—You will begin with the decadent throne—One of the voices whispered.

—Ah, is it yours? Perfect, so it will be faster.

—This guy is....—He started complaining.

Walfos sat without much regard for the complaints of the whispering voice, placed his arms on the armrest closed his eyes and began his concentration.

—Has anyone even told him what to do?—The whispering voice asked somewhat irritated.

—No.... But I think he will manage—Said the low voice.

The young man continued to concentrate until he suddenly opened his eyes and said a few words.

—To subsist without needing anything, to lose the need to eat, drink, sleep and breathe, the totality of being without anything external, that is what I want.

Suddenly the candle went out and the throne began to crumble, Walfos quickly rose from it only to watch it turn to dust and ashes and then disappear.

—It's done—The whispering voice affirmed.

—No, it is not, speak loudly that I want to hear you.

—It's okay, you like it this way?—The voice passed to a normal but irritated tone and Walfos smiled pleased to then advance to the throne in the left corner.

—So you will continue with the crimson throne—The serious voice said.

—Stop saying it like I know where I'm going... I imagine that this is yours if not, you wouldn´t have said anything-He said to then sit and repeat the process—The barriers must not mean anything, I want to be able to understand and be understanded no matter who I am talking to, I want to be able to read and understand all languages as well as speak them either physically or telepathically.

Again the candle went out and the throne collapsed, but this time it did not turn into dust or ash but into blood that later dissapeared.

—Aren't you going to tell him anything?—Asked one of the voices maintaining a normal tone.

—Not really, judging by his choices he seems to have a marked style.

—I see.

—You speak as if I couldn´t hear you—Walfos began to look at the darkness with his eyes closed.

—Can we not give it importance? Go now to the last throne—He asked for the voice of sighs.

—Of course, I have no better things to do—He said to then walk to the throne, once there he sat-What is this called?

—Well—He sighed long—As others have said theirs I will say mine, that there is the ascending throne.

—All right, I hope you fulfill my ambition—Walfos repeated the process for the last time-I want nothing to escape the grip of the cruel but absolute truth, I want the ability to know when I hear a lie.

After those words the throne quickly became miasma and Walfos fell to the ground, to his surprise he felt nothing.

—You have a curious style kid, do not disappoint us and we will not disappoint you—Sentenced the thick voice, after those words Walfos returned to reality, or rather came out of that strange reality in which it was, it seemed that not a single second had passed.

Walfos immediately recalled the dissatisfaction he had felt before and stared back at the group of vampires, his discomfort was not gone, this meant that unlike the fall he had just suffered he could still feel, this was a relief for him, the whole situation in which I was in was still a problem, but if it turned out that everything they said was true it would have to be adapted to the situation, perhaps the best thing would be to ask that group of three, but they were still standing there without saying anything.

Before the nonexistent answer he had been waiting for, Walfos took the first step with Beelzebub in his arms, it was then that he remembered that he had grabbed him, since no one was going to tell him anything he would investigate on his own, besides, taking that guy meant having someone to ask, if he ever woke up, or in an unfortunate outcome a hostage, but in the end none of that happened because his move was the action that freed the vampires from their state, They were still a little stunned but began to gesticulate and force the movement of their limbs which ended in very artificial movements.

—Hm?... Have you already missed it? Or maybe it's a funny spectacle? If it is the second thing let me congratulate you for trying, because as I have to evaluate something else....—He said sarcastically when he saw the sudden uprising of those men against their paralysis.

—We have been blessed—Svan said.

—Ah yes? How good for you, no?—He answered without giving much importance.

—After so many years of uncertainty and pain we can finally be sure that we have found the right one—Heikerms added.

—That sounds pretty good, good work, good work—He repeated with a tone of tranquility.

—You are-

—S-i-l-e-n-c—interrupted Bladshthirt—For how long are you going to continue this ridicule? Blessings? Adequate? I would like you to tell me what you are talking about—After those words he drew his face towards Beelzebub's neck and looked at the vampires menacingly—Otherwise I will have to look for another method.

Those words were like a shockwave to the group of perplexed vampires, true it was that they had been saying strange things from the beginning since they had not yet put in place that young man, but more rare, and disrespectful, was to keep quiet and stare at him and do nothing, if normally it was already annoying that someone was watching you without any explanation this situation was the result of quantifying that, but also in a place you do not know.

—Sorry—Bladshthirt said embarrassed—Let us introduce ourselves, then we will update you on the situation.

—Oh, that's not bad—Walfos pronounced with satisfaction.

—The gentleman to my left is called Heikerms and is the most employed herald by the faction, the one to my right is called Svan and is the count in charge of external affairs and I am Bladshthirt, I am the duke with the greatest territory and a possible would-be leader of the faction, it should be said that all of us belong to the faction of vampires—He explained with the greatest peace of mind possible, although sometimes his voice trembled.

—Vampires? I see....—He was now supposed to be able to detect any lie, so relying on his ability he trusted the words of those ´´vampires´´—What curious creatures—He added at the same time that a spooky smile was forming on his face.

The whirlwind of emotions that enveloped Walfos became more intense and macabre after he smiled at the racial revelation of those creatures, the vampires silenced again for a few moments, but not for long, they did not want to repeat the sitaucion of before.

—I'm glad you're satisfied sir, now I'll explain the situation to you—Announced the duke—This world was always ruled by the grat 3, the Night Lord Dracula, the Death Lord Taramot and the Lord of Growing Darkness Zalieus, everything was according to his mandate and lived in perfect harmony, but over time those whom his mandate did not particularly benefit, the envious, rose against them after obtaining a power from an unknown source and defeated them, the world we knew fragmented forcing us to divide since no one could keep us together, recently and because those envious ones want to take us all down we came back together as factions, in total there are 8 factions, the vampire faction, the infernal faction, the dragon faction, the werewolf faction, the witch faction, the faction of the fallen, the faction of the giants and the faction of the aberrations, although the latters have agreements with other races which serve as their representatives in all kinds of meetings. Now, the power cravings of the factions only increase even when we are in the middle of a war, they seek to obtain absolute power, they are not able to see that they will bring us to ruin, that is why those of us here, as we decided to use an ancient artifact to summon someone worthy to be our leader, and that has been you—The duke ended.

Walfos was quiet for a few seconds, he processed all the information and made special emphasis in the great 3, if he was not mistaken it must be the dynamic trio of occupiers that had entrenched in his head, for obvious reasons the crimson throne was Dracula, the one with the edgy whispers must have been Taramot and finally Zalieus would be the one with the sighs, there were no more options and as he said his throne was the ascendant and his title is ´´Lord of Growing Darkness´´so it made some sense, after he cleared himself with it he proceeded to process his own emotion, a world torn apart and doomed to ruin that desperately seeks the help of someone else, he didn´t need the ability to detect lies to know that it could be real since that was similar to his world, but this one had a great appeal, magical powers, and the young man loved things like magic and supernatural abilities, even though he had never been able to do anything like that given his human limitations, the powers were something convenient for him, fun, interesting and forbidden for poor human beings.

—How touching—He finally said—You say they are blind and have brought me here to open their eyes?

Bladshthirt was unable to answer, that way of referring to the problem was the same as he had, now he was the moved one, anyway his face was enough response.

—I see, by the way What happens to this one here?—He asked at the same time that he was looking at Beelzebub.

—Oh, Mr.Beelzebub must still be stunned, having had direct contact with you must have been too much—Heikerms replied.

—How do you know I'm the leader you're looking for?—That question intrigued him, the fantasy was wonderful, but Walfos should know where it began and where it ended.

—The sphere has allowed us to feel your aura, only a king of darkness could have an aura like yours—Answered Svan.

—All right, I have one more question—He said with a tone of total seriousness—If there are 8 factions and you have mentioned that you meet.... Why do I only see three vampires and this passed out guy at the time of my invocation? Shouldn't there be at least one member of each faction?

Svan and Heikerms were speechless, the emotion of the moment had made them forget the illegality of their acts, afraid to respond they looked at the duke, he had had the idea and he had done the ritual, It was certainly unpleasant of them to want to depend on Bladshthirt in that way, but he was the one who had to answer.

—Sir, if I'm honest....—The duke began.

—What happened? Was anyone against it and you did it behind his back?—He asked before letting the duke finish.

—How did you know?

—Well... Since you're the only ones here, that this looks like someone's private room and not an invocation room and you said too that the relations between factions weren´t working well it wouldn't be surprising if you were doing this behind someone's back, besides a while ago I heard screams from the outside and Count Svan has his clothes torned, I imagine he had wounds before but his regeneration did him good, that means he was defending something, but according to your words the most valuable thing here is me and the sphere of course... do I need to continue?—Walfos asked before continuing to develop.

-N-no—The duke replied—You are correct.

—Well, I don't like to waste words—He said without much concern

—Does it bother you?—The count asked.

—Not really, it's more, it sounds entertaining, crushing the rotten ideals of others is an activity that I am quite good at—He said with certainty—Besides, I couldn't get too angry, after all the work you've done, look at you, it looks like you've done a good job out there, as far as time has been concerned, as far as the way of handling you has left to be desired, I could hear their screams from the coffin and they were not very well accomplished.

The count was as moved as he was ashamed, on one hand the young man had recognized his hard work, something that the other 3 people who were there not, on the other hand it seemed that his means were not very good, Svan had the option to blame it on Beelzebub, but then he would be recognizing that the latter had worked as much or more than he had, it was a full-blown dilemma, yet the count chose to thank and remain silent.

—Sir can we know your name?—The herald asked.

—Yeah, so it'll be easier, I'm Walfos—He showed up without much difficulty—Chosen by the great 3, summoned by a group of vampires, surrounded by magic, powers, new people who will want to kill me and a cover that I have to defend since you have not taken the trouble to investigate who I really am and since you do not have humans in the factions that leaves me quite fucked-up you bunch of wretches—Walfos thought with enthusiasm but with some reluctance.

—That's a good name, sir, could you tell us any of your titles? So people who are not familiar to you can refer to you in that way, in case you do not want to give one we can invent one, at the end of the day you possess a totality of abilities to which we could refer.

—It will not be necessary to invent one, I have several, some I like more others less, but well, you can use the title of Devil.

—Devil? With all due respect, what does it mean?

—It's a simple thing, the ancient creatures that were born with God and betrayed him are known as devils, these inhabit hell but they are not demons, these last are the natives there, it could be said that it is thanks to the devils that exist since having no space in heaven or on earth made them inhabited hell, so thanks to their relations with other races, their rituals amd the condensation of their power demons were born, also, they look a little like the fallen angels in the treachery part.

The vampires were amazed again, the one they had summoned was a legendary entity as old as the creation that fought against the creative divinity, a true ruler of darkness.

—Should I announce your arrival, Oh great Lord?—The herald asked with emotion.

—Not yet, those who agreed can be an easy target to search for and question, so since they don't know of my arrival they can't get anything from them, as for those who disagreed it's a bad option for them to find out so quickly, knowing that your new leader has arrived and you're going to have to give up your lust for power could lead them to mount the internal war that I must avoid.

—What the Lord says is true Heikerms—Svan stated—Perhaps the best tactic would be to convince two rival leaders, with the superiority of votes of the factions it would be easier to deal with those who are still against.

—Who voted for my summoning?

—The dragons, the infernals and of course we vampires—He bowed a little when he said that

—All right, we'll convince the werewolves and the witches, in case it doesn't work with the witches we'll go for the fallen.

—May I ask the reason for this choice? The werewolves are very blinded—the duke claimed.

—It's simple, you have to look at it this way, open people are a lot of doors and windows that aren't locked, instead locked people are a single door, but it's locked tight, if you had to choose one of the two people the smart thing would be to choose the closed ones, you can try tens of hundreds of doors but the open person will always go from side to side and get contaminated with ideas from all sides no matter if they are good or not, on the other hand, the closed person shall stand firm in his convictions, which means that if you can open their door or make them open it to you, it'll be a lot easier because you'll destroy the foundation of theur reasoning and you'll put in new ones, if someone has too extreme an idea about something and you get to change it, they'll never go back to that idea, most people fail to try to open those doors and prefer to try their luck with open people, but for me that's not a problem, as I can get the key to any door—Explained under the watchful eye of vampires.

—That means you are the locksmith of the soul—the duke declared.

—You could say it this way, besides.... Simply talking they are dogs, you only have to educate them correctly—Walfos said thinking that it would be a good option to reduce the stress of the vampires and maybe his.

The vampires opened their eyes in awe as a smile inevitably appeared on their faces, they liked to hear that, after all the time they had to spent trating with such a irrespectful race someone had finally put on their side.

—What do you want us to do then?—The count asked.

—First take the corpses or the remains of them out there to the inside of the castle, once here you must fix them, by this I mean leave them as best as possible, once done they will have to be transformed into zombies and sent to their respective factions but not very fast, they have to walk normally maybe slow they came here to fight so it makes sense that thei wounds or lost body parts make them go slower, as long as it looks like they are alive and returning the people who see them will not suspect and once they have returned they will have gained enough time, for the rest I want you to prepare an audience with the leader of the dragons, meanwhile I will take care of this guy—He looked at Beelzebub with reluctance.

—Didn't you say you didn't want anyone else to know?—Heikerms asked.

—Nobody normal, I don't think they can kidnap a leader or they will ask him directly, If you were going to tell the entire faction they could grab a normal commoner and get all the information from him, this way os more difficult, but well, we have no time to waste, go—Walfos finally sentenced with seriousness

The 3 vampires nodded and began performing their marked tasks, on the other hand once Walfos thought of his words, had spoken of common people as easy points of abduction which was funny, since he was the person with the least supernatural abilities to avoid such things how would a common vampire be? A full-blown fucking danger, it was better not to think about that, Walfos sighed, sat back on the bed and watched Beelzebub.

—I haven't seen people like this before, that's why I can't hold back my desires, excuse me for what I´m going to do—After those words Walfos placed his hand around Beelzebub's neck, then slid it to his face and placed his other hand on this too—Awake or I don't know what I could do to you—The young man thought and according to his wishes it happened, the demon began to open his eyes.
