After arriving back at Mr. West's house, Finch was put back inside her cage in Mr. West's study. There was nothing much she heard from Mr. West's and Derek's conversation. She noticed, nevertheless, that Derek had been more cautious in saying about things in her presence. The only thing she was not sure of was if Derek had told his master of what he and Katherine had found out.
For that reason, Finch had to tell Mosley. She was wondering when Mosley would come and see her. There was something that Finch had always wanted to ask Mosley, to get the confirmation from herself whether the woman who had looked after her for years was a witch. Yet, she did not know the true meaning of a witch itself, even though the word always brought a great distress in her mind. Finch wanted to understand why she felt like that — why she had to feel that way.
