Months had passed. Angus O'Connor had returned to Easton. He went back to the market, selling vegetables and fruits. Angus spent his days harvesting and working. If he did not work in the market, he was delivering goods at people's houses. Rain had not stopped pouring in Easton but it did not stop him to do his business.
It was loneliness that made Angus felt miserable. He had left his sons in Claremont. After Edmond losing Finch, Angus decided it was for his own good to continue staying in Claremont. Bringing back Edmond to Easton was not a good idea at all. Knowing his attachment to the bird and the girl, Angus was afraid that his son would to the forest to look for the girl. Above of all, he was afraid that the woman would come to take revenge on him and his son for not being able to keep the bird safe.
