In spite of its heavy rain, the O'Connors and Finch departed from Easton, heading to Claremont, the capital, where Angus's sister lived in. Edmond finally could sit by the window after begging his father to let him sit on the other side by himself, while Neil sitting with his father across him. He had Finch standing on his palm, her head facing the window that got its curtain opened, showing the girl of what the world outside the forest look like.
"Did you see that grand building, Finch?" Edmond had his finger pointing at the fancy massive building that looked stand out among others. "It's where we usually have the festivals. Lots of food there. I love the chocolate cake that Mrs. Oscar made for the children. It was delicious."
Finch wanted to respond to what Edmond had said but knowing he would not understand anything she said, she continued to look at the building, wondering what it was like during the festivals Edmond talked about.
