The Dimensional teleporter, it was said that this project took 500 years and millions of bright scientists, mathematicians, physicists, and engineers to complete. Initially, many people opposed this, because a large portion of taxes will be used to fund the project, despite billions of people still living below the poverty line, financial experts, celebrities, politicians, and the common people complained and marched, rallying for a better budget to other areas. This caused quite a commotion half a thousand years ago, however, the same people who wanted a reform were now in their seats, glued to their smart screens anticipating the first dimensional cross of mankind. As said by a famous cosmonaut, "That's one small step for machine, one giant leap for mankind."

My smart assistant's voice knocked me out from my reverie, I was nervous and anxious, for the fate of the human race lay on my shoulders making me feel heavy, sluggish even. like a boulder pressing against my back, trying to flatten me.
