Janna's POV:
Sigh... I'm currently getting ready for school. I still can't believe what happened yesterday. Eric, the boy who beat Prince in the 1st place of the popularity rankings among male students confessed to me. I don't know what I should do.
I slapped my face to make myself come to my senses.
Stop thinking about it, Janna! Everything will be just fine. Just let the destiny decide about your fate. For now, I need to keep this from Elaine, Sophia and the other students in our school. I don't want to cause a commotion in our school if ever they'll hear about Eric's confession.
I went downstairs and headed on the dining table. My parents and my little sister, Yanna are already having their breakfast.
"You're up late today, Janna. Weren't you able sleep well yesterday?"
"Yeah, kinda."
I put the food into my mouth when my mother asked me another question.
"Come to think of it, what did the handsome guy talked to you about yesterday? Did he confess his romantic feelings for you or something?"
What she just said made me choked the food that I'm eating.
"Cough, cough, cough!"
"Are you ok, sister? Here's some water." My sister handed me a full glass of water.
"Thanks."
"What?! I won't let other boys have my precious daughter! She's still young and still have a long way to go before she can experience a painful journey of love." My pampering dad acted exaggeratedly.
"Geez. You don't need to act that shocked. I'm just kidding. I don't think that's the reason why the boy is looking for her yesterday, right Janna?" My mother added.
"Y-y-yeah. H-he just brought the paperworks I have forgotten in the classroom. That's all! Ha ha ha..." I laughed awkwardly since what my mother said made me feel even more guilty.
"See? You're being too paranoid, Dad." My Mom patted my Dad's shoulder for comfort.
"That's good. I thought that my beloved daughter will be taken away from me."
"I-I need to go now. I'm assigned on class duty today so I need to be earlier than usual. I'll see you later. Bye!" I ran out of the house rapidly.
Huff... Huff... Huff... I really ran too fast. It made my feet feel weak. But anyway, I'm the first one to arrived at our meeting place so I should wait for them patiently.
"Hey, Janna!" Kristoffer is walking with Elaine towards my direction.
"You're together, huh?"
"Yeah, well, we bumped into each other on our way here." Elaine explained indifferently.
"And as usual, Sophia is still not here, I see." Elaine added.
"Hey guys! Good morning!" Sophia is running speedily.
"Speaking of the devil... Here she is."
"What's up? What are you talking about?"
"Nothing, why do you always ask what we're taking about whenever you're not here? Are you afraid that we're talking about you behind your back?" Elaine tried to tease her which Sophia took seriously.
Sophia just kept quiet and made an upset face.
"Hey, I'm just kidding! You really can't understand jokes, can you? Anyway, stop running so vigorously all the time. Is that how an injured person should act normally?"
"But it's not my feet who got sprained so there should be no problem, right?"
"Stop that reasoning of yours! So are you trying to say that just because your ARM is the one that got hurt, you also want your feet to get hurt next?"
"It's not like that... I'm sorry... But I just-"
"No buts! We should go now or else we'll be late!"
I can understand Elaine's point. Sophia has a habit of being too active most of the time so it really makes us worry about her getting hurt.
(At the school gate)
As usual, we're still not inside the school gate and yet the students are already gathering around us.
"They're here!"
"Kristoffer is also with them! So cool!"
By the way, you may not be aware about this but Kristoffer is actually famous. He got the 3rd place in popularity rankings among the male students so it's not weird that students are already familiar about him. He is entitled as the 'most talented student in Science field' throughout the whole school. He's even superior to me, Elaine and Sophia when it comes to knowledge in Science. He also won many awards in every Science Fair that he's participated in. Every inventions he's made has won the first place and is even being recognized in the other countries. Amazing, right?
The four of us are entering the school gate when I suddenly heard something about me that I didn't even expect to be mentioned.
"But someone said that she witnessed Eric confess to Janna yesterday. And it's in front of her house, on top of that."
"Really? Do you think that's true?"
"I don't know... Maybe it is?"
"Then, they are already in a relationship? Awww... It's such a shame. If that's really the case, then I stand no chance to Eric anymore."
"Idiot! In the first place, you don't even stand a chance to him especially that Eric is unreachable. None of us has a right to be with him except for the '3 Goddesses' of our school."
"You may be right."
All the rumors that are being heard on the school ground made me stopped walking. I looked at my friends beside me and they also can't believe what they just heard. All of them are looking at me with wondering eyes and waiting for me to say something.
I can't bear to speak even one word with all of the eyes directed on me.
"Janna?" Elaine held my shaking hands tightly.
"Ok guys, can all of you please let us get through? We can't enter inside the school building if you'll continue to block our passage." Sophia used her authority as the Student Council President of the school to make the students divert their attentions away from the rumors about me for a moment.
We just continued walking without having a conversation. They must be also really shocked and speechless about our current situation.
Well, I'm not surprised that the rumor about me and Eric were known immediately throughout the school since I'm sure that there are many girls that are stalking him all day.
We're already on the hallway when our classmates greeted us with questions.
"Janna, is it true that you already have a relationship with Eric?"
"The two of you really suit each other so we support you."
"We're glad for you!"
"Hey, could all of you just shut your mouth and just enter our classroom quietly?" Elaine was very pissed at them.
"Let's just get inside first. Do you want Ma'am Flores to scold all of us when she sees us crowding together here at the hallway instead of getting ready for our class?" Sophia said while wearing a sad face.
"For now, let's listen to the Student Council President or else her reputation will be damaged, ok?" Kristoffer said while smiling sweetly.
The things they've said made the students hushed their chatty mouths. It's a good thing that I have friends like them to help me in times like this.
We entered the classroom and I saw Bill looking at the windows while wearing his headphones. He turned his head at me and our eyes met each other's.
Did he already hear the rumors about me and Eric? What does he think about it? Does he have negative reaction regarding the misunderstanding of my and Eric's relationship? I don't know what he's thinking at all.
