Third Person
Paris, France: Paris Police Department
7:08 P.M.
"I've got a few words from your father," Phoenix started without any formal greeting while the man he referred to as liege, continuously stared at him with the wanted intent to haul him to death.
Saccharide shifted in his seat and tapped the table loudly after grunting, "Ugh. Of course, you do," He let a few seconds pass by before saying, "We're done talking here."
The grey-haired boy stood from his seat after he called the attention of cops so, they could bring him back to his cold cell. They got his hands at his back as they kept them from moving. As they turned around to bring, Phoenix asked, "Don't you want to hear a few words from your Aksenov?"
The blonde male prepared himself for an upcoming attack upon seeing Saccharide's head perk up the second he mentioned his lover's name. Surprisingly, he just looked at him with a sad frown on his face.
"Don't use her to keep this conversation for keeps," he said and let the cops follow behind him towards the exit.
"My liege! Wait!" Phoenix called and jogged his way to the grey-haired boy. The police grunted and got pissed from Phoenix's intervening. One female cop calmed her senior partner as he pulled out a taser from his belt, attempting to scare him away.
"Hey, pretty boys! There are a lot of jobs to be done. If you want to talk, talk with each other! Don't make us cops accessories!" The male spat out.
Saccharide sighed and continued walking with the female cop on his side. The woman kept glancing over her shoulder to make sure no one gets hurt from mild irritation, "Please take me back," the grey-haired teen convinced the male cop before he threw one last glance at the blonde boy.
Without the fear of the visible taser and annoyance in the cop's face, Phoenix followed and continued to vex Saccharide into conversing with him, "She came to the Manor yesterday to end the war between you and your father," A smirk crept onto his face when he felt a hand grabbing his neck and slamming his entire body on the table. The other visitors were told to exit and the prisoners were escorted back to their cells as the two cops struggled to get the enraged prisoner on top of his visitor.
"What the fuck did you do to her?!" Saccharide shouted and watched over Phoenix's reddening cheeks.
"Your behavior will not make your pleading believable, my liege..." Phoenix muttered, his voice barely recognizable with Saccharide's choking.
The boy's grip on his neck became tighter and tighter, but then his eyes became watery as the blonde-haired boy's hair became long, it slowly loses its color. Hence, possessing the image of his lover. Saccharide cried upon seeing Raine underneath him, he released his clawing nails before backing away.
His blurred vision showed Raine's voluptuous figure standing up from the table. Muttering to himself, he brought up his hands to his face so, he could wipe the tears which disrupt his hallucination in seeing his lover's soft auburn eyes closely. Her soft thin lips and always flustered cheeks on her natural pallid pallet showed up in front of him
Coughing up, Phoenix rubbed his sore throat before looking at Saccharide's disrupted face. The grey-haired boy looked lifeless looking at his hands before he screamed when an electric taser touched the side of his body. Seeing that he had calmed down, the female cop alerted his colleagues to ensure and check on the other prisoners.
"Stop! Get him back to his cell!" yelled the female cop before sending Phoenix a concerned look upon seeing him struggle in catching his breath. The woman got help from her colleagues as they took Saccharide's paralyzed body. A taser gun can last up to 10 seconds maximum, but the person can still feel the numbness along with a few tingling which made the teen's body stunned.
Phoenix kept coughing his throat out while the female officer brought him a drink. The male accepted and drank the cold beverage, but his eyes were fixated on the unconscious teen being carried to the first floor cells. He turned to his side and called the woman's attention before showing her something.
Immediately, her eyes were wide and she was flabbergasted. She quickly stood up and gave the boy permission to enter the mayhem of over 10 singing convicts inside a cube cell that can fit 5 people inside. He scrunched his nose as the smell emitting from the cells made him remember the secret chamber at the general's manor. If that manor was hell, this was the purgatory. Once they passed the reeking cages of prison, Phoenix finally stopped in front of the last cell and the only one which has less rust and smell.
"My liege..." Phoenix mumbled. The guard assigned to keep monitoring over the troubled teen stopped him from taking another step forward before he gave a look of warning to his female colleague. As the female gave him a nod, she stepped closer to the male and whispered, "Keep him here! He's a subordinate of his father. The general wanted to discuss something with his son," she pulled the male officer so the two could settle their confidential meeting.
Phoenix looked around and got satisfied when the coast is clear and the consecutive cells were empty. He sat down in Saccharide's level who was laying down on his dusty bed, couldn't move a single limb as his upper and lower extremities were numb. Nevertheless, he can still feel the taser burns. Phoenix called his attention, but he just stared at the ceiling's fading light.
Without further silence, he started the agenda, "Raine Aksenov surrendered for your sake and offered to fly to New York as soon as possible," he said before taking a pause to examine a shift in the other male's expression, "But after some intervention, she decided to stay and get evidences to prove your innocence to get you out of the prison by herself."
"She should have left me already," Saccharide muttered while a single drop of tears dropped on his pillow.
The other male was pissed to see him getting emotional from just a few words about his girl, "Your father was amazed by her remarks and decided to give her a chance to be accepted in your clan," Phoenix continued, "Her initiating has nothing in terms of physical. She has to bring a possible suspect for the crime before the end of your court trial."
Saccharide's tears continued to drop as the effect of the taser gun slowly wears off while Phoenix did all the talking, "Don't fret over her situation. Raine is currently in the hands of your trustworthy mutt," He pulled out his phone and showed a video of the two talking outside the Manor's gate from a street camera.
"That mutt better protects my princess," Saccharide chuckled and tried to reach for the video after seeing a beautiful girl in a red dress and hair like a paradise. She was beautiful in any way — In flamboyant clothes, simple, cheap, or no clothing at all.
His fingertip touched her face and he was more than satisfied. Phoenix directed his eyes somewhere without a scene before standing up, "I believe that's all I have to say. Your mother personally sent your favorite food and snacks," he reminded, "And anyone from your department who will be seen taking anything from the bounty shall be stripped of their job or—"
The blonde boy smirked before deleting the last part of his email to be sent to the commander in charge in this department, "—even maybe their life," He finally sent the email then he turned to the teen on the bed, looking at him with an anticipating look.
Phoenix finally bowed to him before preparing himself to get past the poor souls inside of those cages, "My liege. I'll take my leave..." He was used to seeing prisoners inside the cell under the location of the manor, but most of the time, they were immobilized, silent, and not breathing. Taking a deep breath, he took a step and was about to take another when a voice called him. As expected, it was rarely that Saccharide forgets something about the girl. They faced each other again, this time the grey-haired teen was leaning his front on the bars, peeking his head a little out of the medium-sized slits.
"What about Raine's?" Saccharide asked, his soft sweet tone enrages the other male, "What did she have to say?"
If Phoenix had a choice between cutting his tongue or saying the exact words the girl had said for Saccharide, he'd be willing to donate his tongue to someone who has a better speech to say. Luckily, he always records every conversation had to go through. He pushed the button and let his phone speak out the girl's exact words.
"If you're going to see Saccharide," Saccharide's face brightened at the angelic sound of his lover. It was beautiful as the day he last hears her scream from fear upon seeing another dead body rotting in her garden, "Please tell him I love him and I really miss him - I'll see him once I finally got him out of jail." The record ended and it was enough to cause dreams of her.
"Play it again," he commanded and Phoenix did as told. The second time was sweeter as Saccharide held his bleeding wrist and finally wrapped it with the torn cover of his pillow.
"This was our recorded conversation a while ago," Phoenix informed him after he watched the grey-haired boy wash his deep wound under the running water, "I'm certain her message already stopped your plan to stab your wrist deeper with sharp things you can find." He then eyed the pencil with dried blood on the floor.
"Suicide might be an efficient way of getting out of this, my liege," said Phoenix and looked at the mirror where Saccharide used to look back at him, "But your love for the girl wouldn't permit it."
The blonde boy finally delivered the message and was ready to go, "See you in a week, my liege," he smirked. His plan to separate the two lovers is closer to a victory than it seems. After all, his mother has always told him — Sometimes the longer path is the easier one.
