Chapter 63 - Carnation 61

Third Person

Paris, France: Jardin d'Eden

Saccharide was more than a hawk and an eagle when it comes to watching Raine in her sleep. The hotel room was perfect for the two of them. A king-sized bed was perfect to hold them together, but the male insisted on resting on a chair beside the bed so, the girl has the freedom to turn her body in every way possible.

"Mr. Heinz... They need you there," the manager of the IXCents, without the knowledge of the teen being a homophobic male, can't convince him in any way to get in the arena to at least appreciate the show they have prepared.

Instead of ramming his mouth, Saccharide held his maiden's cold hand and closed it before blowing it with his hot breath, "I'm not leaving here. They could fuck with each other on the stage, for all I care," — he raised his voice a little, but it's enough to wake up Raine.

Raine sat up, brushing her hair with her fingers, frustrating over minor tangles, "Saccharide, you should go," she smiled before receiving an urgent kiss from her lover, "The winner deserves it. I'm fine here..."

The male did not respond and helped her adjust the girl's pillows and bolsters so, his girl can have support on the bed frame. Her energy was drained from playing the game, her foot was not safe from being bandaged when it bled a little while the medic examined her unconscious body.

Luckily, those injuries were the only ones found. If the little skin scraped off her lower lip was to be included then overall, they were 3.

The girl flinched when she saw her bandaged hand and her change of clothes. She was back in her shorts and bralette except her denim jacket was replaced by Saccharide's oversized coat. The manager's sympathetic eyes traveled at the girl's trembling lips, she bit before closing her eyes to feel the sting made by the pressure on the wound.

"I'm very sorry for what happened. Whatever it may be, please accept my invitation for the both of you," IXCents' manager's gentle voice annoyed the boy, but he let him talk and give her an envelope nonetheless.

Raine smiled and kindly thanked him, placing the gift card on the nightstand beside her bed, "It's a pleasure... I would love to go!" her pleading eyes turned to Saccharide for consent but the male gave her a 'No-Fucking-Way' look before turning his head away to the other direction.

By observing the telepathic signal between the couple, he frowned before showing the girl an 'It's alright' smile.

The grey-haired lover softened his eyes as his girl sighed deeply. Saccharide cleared his throat and cut the conversation, "It's time for you to go. She's already under a lot of pressure, right now. I'll see you out, Mister Whoever-The-Hell-You-Are," he strutted away with his chin up.

Both looked at Saccharide and felt the pompous energy coming from him.

"I'm sorry," Raine whispered and gave the 46-year-old man a warm smile, "Thank you very much for this. Don't worry I'll convince him..."

He held his hand and kissed it lightly, not having a single grain of knowledge that he was adding the fuel to the flames of Saccharide's anger, "I'm Mr. Ferguson. We weren't off to a great start but I hope you accept my group's sincerest apologies—"

The grey tiger shouted with a hint of impatience from the door, "Hello, The door's wide open!"

Taking a small bow, the kind manager left the room with his two bodyguards following behind him. Saccharide threw one last look before slamming the door close. He walked back to sit beside the girl but lacking his usual confidence.

Feeling her heart having contentious beating, she hugged the boy from behind, "Saccharide..."

Letting out the beast, Saccharide couldn't help his urge, so he tackled the girl on the bed and appeared big on top of her. His shadow almost covered the girl's entirety, "I suck!" he whimpered as his tears escaped the prison of his eyes.

The girl became the flower being watered by her owner as she listened to his cries, "I- I made you bait, hoping I could finally capture my dad's hound, but I only got you in trouble!"

Having no words to respond, Raine flailed her hand open to welcome the boy into a passionate embrace, "Come on..."

Without hesitation, he dropped his weight on her, feeling the softness of her body beneath her was enough to make his body rock hard. But he wasn't called the "Master of Self-control" for nothing. As the girl was cuddling with her lover, she decided to hum a little song for him so he'll have peace of mind within her warm territory.

She started with low key but as the song progresses, Raine started to sound like a serene siren in the middle of the ocean, luring men deep in the ocean. Before he could drown deep her beautiful melody, Saccharide talked with dried throat cracking up, "I'm sorry." he closed his eyes, "I should've listened and never force you to play that stupid game!"

Raine stopped humming and just nodded to assure she was listening to his every rave, "I'm starting to think that starting a war with my father was wrong— ugh! He's getting in my head. That was exactly what he wants. For me to make you the fucking bait!"

She continued playing the strands of his hair, "Your father didn't know this but—" Raine paused when Saccharide turned his head to get a better view, "I'm the one who let you make the bait."

Her eyes were staring at the blinding ceiling light, she can't see how intense Saccharide was admiring her face, if it wasn't for the brink of explaining, she must have been stuttering and shuffling all the words.

"I already know I'm a bait when you insisted on playing the game with those two strangers which happened to be Klavier and Racquel all this time," she giggled before closing her eyes to avoid stinging her teary eyes with the light, "I'm sorry that I'm not very good at being one..."

Her words are enough to make anyone cry...

"I wished I have been useful to your will," Raine cried and held her lover tighter, "I'm sorry..."

It's enough to make him cry again...

Drying her tears, she whimpered as the stuffy feeling in her nose made her tears come out, "But I promise to become more versatile in the future," she reassured.

Guiltiness piercing his heart, he asked, tear traces won't leave his face, "What's wrong with you?"

'...wet...' the girl wondered when she felt the bedsheet near her head got damp. Turning her head to the side, she witnessed his burning eyes, sipping every last conscience in her soul.

She panicked and rearranged their position, Raine sat up and the boy did the same, "I'm sorry. Is it something that I said? I'm terr—" she was tongue- twisted with her selection of words.

Looking down, she knew the boy was unhappy about something she had done, Raine stopped talking before holding his face. She kissed him lightly before waiting for his response. After a while of one-sided progression, the girl gave up and pulled away.

...

Before the girl knew it, the boy was already on top of her. With a face resembling a thirsting for meat, the boy spoke, "I wished you know what you got yourself into..." Saccharide leaned in her ear before biting it, "Because you're not leaving. Not ever."

With a sheepish moan coaxed out of her lips, she made him look at her deep in the pools of her orbs, "I don't plan on locating the way out," she whispered back and closed her eyes.

The nearer her lips, the more his smirk gets bigger, "Oh baby," he exhaled, "—there's no way out."

And just like that, they kissed. For a long time, it felt like they were floating in space and only the celestial lights were witnessing the eloping of their lips as they moved like ying-yang combined through the rippling of rivers.

Both of them closed their eyes as they can't absorb the heat of the moment. The boy was pleasured by Raine's intense scratching so he took it upon himself to grip the girl's wrist so her fresh bandaged hand was safe above her head.

They continued without the worry of someone sashaying inside.

...

"It's time for the quick check-up."

Raine held her mouth to prevent her squeak from coming out. The short shriek came with a floor thump then another minute, Saccharide was casually pointing a sharp thumbscrew against the neck of a doctor-in-charge. The sudden appearance of the old man made Saccharide's reflexes go wild.

Raine's pupils shrunken as her shock heightened when she saw the bloodlust in his eyes. The glint in his eyes disappeared when the doctor spoke with a voice sweet as a drop of honeydew, "I'm sorry I'm a little late. I forgot to wear my glasses and I everything was just blurry," he laughed.

"But I could still check her wounds up close and make sure she doesn't any more confinement," the doctor went to the other and held Raine's wrapped hand with care before removing it to reveal swollen incisions.

Not wanting to look at her treatment, she turned to Saccharide and asked, "After this, can we please go to the arena for this?" —before pointing to the envelope at the nightstand.

"Do you want to?" asked Saccharide with a smug smile on his face.

Her eyes twinkled as she spoke, "Yes, please!"

Saccharide moved closer to her face and pinched her nose a little then when he was sure that he got her hopes up, he responded, "Too bad, dear..."

She pouted and gave him her stare, "We're going straight home and you're going to rest," he chuckled while her cheeks puffed out a little, "Well, if Dione didn't blow it up..."

"Then, why did you bother asking me if I want to go?" the girl complained and the boy swore she saw her doing an eye roll for once.

"Just want to see that adorable feisty state before the medicine's dozing side effects make you sleepy," he responded after the doctor handed her a few tablets to drink.

"Asshole..." Raine muttered quietly under her breath before gulping the water to take in the medicines, mostly antibiotics, and anti-inflammatory.

"Rest for now. You've done your part," he kissed her as the doctor took a leave to answer his ringing phone.

"Goodnight, my dear..."

The night just began.

They haven't heard of the night howlers cry yet.
