I woke up sweating and breathing hard. "It was just a dream" These nightmares were not new to me, yet they still instill so much fear in me.
Thanks to the dream, I woke up two hours early. With this newfound time, I decided to re-read my old fan account on Instagram. I never did really figure out why I made it. But it brought happiness to my fourteen year-old self and I would do anything to go back to then. My account was quite successful too, garnering over 17 K followers.
Reading it, gave me memories of the past again. I used to be so carefree, and happy. I wonder what happened to me.
In no time, two hours had passed, and it was time for me to head to school. I washed up, and went to the kitchen. In there, I found a note from my mum, saying that my parents were going to be out for the entire day.
Coincidentally, my sister; Audrey came down as well. I informed her of the note and she brushed it off.
"How are you going to school today?" I asked.
"Jaehyung's picking me up"
Jaehyung is Audrey's boyfriend, she's only sixteen, but already finding love in the weirdest places. They've been dating for four months and they seem pretty good together. It's expected, Audrey was pretty, healthy and sociable and Jaehyung was good too. They were pieces of a puzzle that matched. Our school does have a dating ban, but the teachers ignore it now due to too many dating scandals the school has been in. They looked happy together.
I shrugged and decided to leave for school without eating breakfast, I needed to lose some weight anyway. I was in the mood to walk today, so I did. The morning air was crisp and cold, but refreshing. Paired with the music in my earphones and my timed foot steps, I felt calm and collected.
Soon, I arrived at my school AKA hell. Unlike many children, I did not have any good memories here. All this place reminded me of was pain and hurt. I hated it, but I endured all those years because he asked me to. If I had a choice I would've left sooner.
Putting up a cold front, I entered the premises. I preferred to be alone and not be bothered by social interactions.
I inspected my surroundings, around me were students of every kind; the girls wearing our school's skirts, whispering the latest gossip and the guys discussing sports.
Right now it was the beginning of the year and it seemed that most students were talking about our new teachers and students. I on the other was not interested in it, I only wanted to finish my last year of high school before I go to college.
I sat down at my usual spot in class 11 A, the best class in all of town. I wish I could say I was naturally smart to be in here. I had to work my butt off to be able to even be in this class. If you entered this class, you were either really smart or rich which I was neither. That's probably why most of my classmates didn't like me.
Thankfully the teacher started talking, making me forget my daydream and getting me ready for the day ahead.
"Now class, today I have some exciting news for you; class 11A has a new classmate!" My teacher announced just as someone walked in.
