this was the final meeting before the ninja depart from the village to face the hidden stone enemies who have finally lit the trigger and caused the 2nd great ninja war to start . right now other hidden villages had shown no obvious signs that they will participate in the war . but all the high ranked ninja knew that those enemies were more dangerous than stone village because they were looking for the perfect opportunity to strike when our forces weaken after prolonged battles .
actually ren was also promoted to jonin straight from genin by direct order of hokage. the whole village shook after confirming that this was not a false rumor but truth. two people were shocked the most - uchiha loki and shimura danzo .
loki was planning to release his boredom by bullying the three new kids but only some time had passed and one of the kids was actually directly promoted to same rank as him . well he recovered from the shock quickly and went to his old ways to bully two other children but still he had doubts .
danzo being a control freak was really pissed off with hiruzen's sudden decision as he didnt even discuss with any of the village elders . well hokage knew his old friends better than anyone so he didnt bother wasting time explaining anything . but this decision had caused danzo to quicken his plans to gain influence in the village so that he can gain approval from council to create root which would be under his control . well ren wasn't bothered in the least as he planned to kill danzo anyway after this shitty war ends . it was better to end this shit before he could start his dark schemes as ren had already confirmed his extreme behaviour unlike hokage who was just incompetent and delusional but has a kind heart .
thus being a leaf jonin , ren was also required to participate in this war meeting . well he was bored anyway so came to kill some time by watching the clan leaders of nara , yamanaka , akimichi , uchiha and some other clans . after all he had to become friends with the promising ones .
" ahem! hokage sama , I personally think that we should deploy more capable forces at sand borders in secret . " this sudden comment of ren surprised the elites of the village as they did not think that he would have so much courage.
honestly ren could not care less about the reactions of these people . first it was tiring and second he had some anime knowledge which could be of some use . ren had decided to protect this village by offering his help to some degree due to his respect to mito uzumaki and this is the matter of principle.

ren was grateful even though it doesn't matter to him if some people are dissatisfied or not . but still he was saved from some annoyances which is definitely a good thing . " hmm.. I think that sand village will most probably be the first village to try to gain advantage of us fighting with stone village . my reasons are -
- because mist village doesn't have any advantage to fight on land due to their techniques more inclined to water element .
- the lightning village lost almost all of their members of storm corps during the attack on village of whirlpools . so they dont have any advantage in participating during early phases of war .
- sand village has their territory bordering with both stone and leaf village . they are in the need of resources too due to harsh conditions of desert. I think they will use the element of surprise while attacking us because number of shinobi in their village is much lesser than other villages .
- it's most likely that sand village will ally with stone village after some first stage battles because they can use pincer attack to cripple our forces stationed near stone borders in one go .
thus I think it's necessary to take some precautions so that we can fight with lightning village at full power when the time comes . well I'm basically a nobody so you guys can ask nara san if my suggestion is for the best or not because he is best with strategies. "
ren was honestly feeling tired with this long explanation as most of this shit was his own conjecture based on the vague information he has collected on enemy villages before coming to this meeting. honestly nothing major about 2nd war was mentioned in the anime and even if it was , ren didnt remember it . ren may look like an easygoing man which was true but he still had a good habit to collect as much information as he can on enemies before fighting . this shit was common sense among expert gamers on earth and ren believed that his thinking was correct .
hokage smiled after he carefully processed the plan proposed by ren . not only hokage but all big shots inside the room were impressed by ren's suggestion but they didnt put it out in words . well if they cannot understand even after all this explanation then they can just die after smashing their heads with tofu .
ren was seriously glad that danzo was not present in this meeting as he would definitely have tried to cause trouble for him . hokage still considered danzo as his capable friend so he had assigned danzo to oversee the weapons supply as this was job suited for veteran shinobi who had experienced war before .
