Chapter 7 - The Strange Space

In the staff dorm where Feng Jun lived, there were four beds, and one of which was empty. He only had two roommates: Zhao Hongqi and Qin Tao.

Both of them were lackeys in their club. The relationship between Zhao Hongqi and Feng Jun was a bit strained. Qin Tao wasn't talkative and sometimes too quiet. He liked to play games in an Internet café when he was off work.

Although Qin Tao spent all his free time in an Internet café, he never slept there and would come back late.

He was a local citizen and had a normal relationship with Feng Jun.

Feng Jun glanced at his empty farm, then at the two sleeping roommates, and pouted angrily. Both of them were very suspicious, but he wasn't sure which one was more suspicious.

Anyway, it was the unpleasant life he lived when he was a member of a low-class society.

Everyone was selfish and struggled to live.

Feng Jun sighed and could do nothing about it. He didn't set a password to the screen of his phone after all.

The next second, an idea dawned on him. Since it was tiring to harvest the grass with his hands in the farm, he could do that outside the phone.

He didn't remember that he could easily harvest the grass by clicking a button with his right finger on the screen until now.

It didn't affect his good mood, and he left his dorm to have a large breakfast. He didn't put the chopsticks down until his stomach was fully stuffed.

It wasn't easy for him to learn the rules by entering the farm.

Feng Jun ignored the surprised expression on the breakfast stand owner's face and bought a serving for Xiao Li before he went to work.

He didn't come last night, but the area he was in charge of was quite clean now. Xiao Li hadn't arrived yet, so he went to the staff locker room.

Liu Shuming was already here. When he saw Feng Jun walking inside, he was displeased. After a while, he asked with an annoyed expression, "Did you damage my charger?"

Feng Jun rolled his eyes at him and ignored him. He then played on his phone.

Liu Shuming was mad, but he didn't dare to question him again. He could only spit fiercely. "A shameless pretty boy! Don't think that you deserve respect."

He was trying to point out Feng Jun's relationship with Hong Jie, but he didn't say their names. Besides, Feng Jun wasn't very pretty, and he was called a pretty boy probably because of his high degree.

Feng Jun didn't mind it, and he laid his left hand on the table. His fingers knocked on the desktop once in a while, and he couldn't help but touch the blank space on the screen of his old phone.

He knew he shouldn't click QQ farm with his left hand, not even other icons, but he thought it was fine if he touched the blank space.

He was so bored that he couldn't help causing some trouble!

In a second, Feng Jun surprisingly found that he entered a strange space.

It was a wasteland and was full of gravel. He felt that he was at the Gobi Desert now.

He looked up and saw a sun in the sky, but it was unusually big, and it was even more than twice as big as the normal sun. Looking further away, he could see mountains and faint green.

Nevertheless, the place he was in was desolate. There were no plants, no animals, not even insects. All he could see was endless gravel and gusts of cold wind.

Feng Jun was stunned for a long while before he murmured, "Damn, I should have controlled my hands."

If he wanted to leave this space at this moment, he should be able to withdraw easily, but since he already came, he planned to walk around and see what was going on here.

As for the fact that he entered the phone in Liu Shuming's sight, it didn't matter. It was too late for him to regret it right now. Anyway, after entering here, the time outside should come to a halt.

He looked around again and found distant mountains and faint green at the suspected eastern location. When he looked as far as he could, there seemed to be neat buildings.

He decided to have a look. Feng Jun raised his foot and walked towards the east. He had enough for breakfast, so he didn't have to worry about physical problems for the time being.

The mountains indeed were very far away from him. He walked for almost three hours before getting a little closer. At this time, he could already vaguely see the rows of buildings that seemed to be houses.

Could there be anyone in the houses? Feng Jun frowned.

According to web novels, he should hide at this time and beware of various villains around the houses.

He looked up at the sun. It was already a bit westward, and both the light and heat were declining. It was a bit colder at the Gobi Desert, and the blowing wind also became stronger. As soon as he stopped, he felt a little chilly.

Therefore, he raised his collar to withstand the cold wind.

The next second, he suddenly jumped up high with excitement. "Did I bring the clothes in?"

This discovery made him really excited. Zhengyang City outside his mobile phone was now in the early autumn. Feng Jun was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and trousers, which was the standard summer uniform of the Hongjie Fitness Club.

He reached out and touched his trouser pocket. As he expected, his cigarettes and lighter were in it.

The lighter wasn't windproof, so it took Feng Jun a lot of effort to light a cigarette. He took two deep breaths and felt quite satisfied. He couldn't help but grin. "Wonderful! I can make money with it now."

With such a storage space, he had met all his expectations for the adventure.

After thinking for a while, he decided to approach those rows of houses quietly. It cost too much power to enter the mobile phone space once, so he must make full use of every chance.

Another two hours later, he was finally a mile away from the houses.

At this moment, the sun was getting more westward and the wind was even stronger.

Feng Jun was dumbfounded as he stared at those houses. "They're just ruins?"

It was obviously a village with seventy to eighty houses. All roofs were completely destroyed, and the walls were almost destroyed as well. Only ruins were left there.

Those houses were well planned, so they looked like organized buildings from a distance.

To the west of the village, there was even a big threshing ground with a stone mill.

The wooden shaft on the mill was still there, but the mill frame was nowhere to be found, which accentuated the desolation of the whole village.

Feng Jun frowned and was afraid to encounter any people in this village.

He had a feeling that no one had lived here for a long time, but he must be very careful to avoid murderers and robbers.

He could be robbed of his adventure.

However, if he left right now, he didn't know when he could come in again with enough power.

Feng Jun hesitated for a long time. He then decided to give it up. Anyway, he could buy some electricity to use later.

Most importantly, it was too cold here, and he couldn't stand it any longer.

The next second, he appeared in the staff locker room again.

Right afterward, he heard a loud sound not far away from him, and Liu Shuming just heavily closed the door of his locker.

He didn't notice what I was doing just then! Feng Jun relaxed, but then he raised his hand and heavily hit his thigh fiercely. I'm an idiot!

He didn't realize that time stopped outside the second he entered his phone until now. Regardless of the appearance of his external body, it was only a negligible moment.

Even if his body also entered his phone, no one would find out, because the time stopped at this second.

In that case, there was no need for him to borrow a phone.

He put away his old phone. He then put his clothes in a locker before he went to take a shower.

Twisting the hot water to the maximum, feeling the hot water hitting his cold skin, he let out a sigh of relief. He almost died of cold in the strange space just then.

A while later, he began to stare at the mark on his arm again. Its color was so dim that he could only enter the space once more.

After coming out of the shower room and changing into his clothes, he walked out of the locker room and found that Xiao Li had already arrived. Not only had she finished her breakfast, but she also stood at the front desk and enthusiastically explained something to two young men.

Feng Jun thought for a while, and he felt there was no need to borrow a phone. No one would find out what was going on when time stopped.

What he needed to do now was to be prepared for another trip to the wilderness to implement the storage capacity of the space, as well as to figure out what had happened in that wilderness.

He had to carefully make a plan in order not to waste his energy.

The rest of the morning passed dully as usual. At noon, he still didn't go to the cafeteria, but the small restaurant he had visited three times during three days in a row.

He didn't eat as much this time as before, and the owner of the small restaurant didn't care about that either. The owner only suddenly asked him when he went to pay the bill, "Did you grow taller these days?"

"What? Oh, probably, ha-ha." Feng Jun gave him a side glance and nodded with a smile.

In fact, he indeed felt he was slightly taller now.

"I'm sure that you're taller." The restaurant owner nodded with certainty. "You were as tall as me before, but now, you're a little taller than me."

People of similar build could most directly feel the change of each other's height.

"Really?" Hearing that, Feng Jun was excited too. Actually, he was 1.73 m tall and wasn't short among the men in their country.

However, nowadays, good-looking people must be tall, and Wang Haifeng even told him that 1.75 meters was only a third-class disability two days ago.

Wang Haifeng was 1.81 m tall, so he strongly held onto that idea.
