Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: She Left, He's Angry

Gong Siyu understood that during his absence Ji Younai and Wen Yu had met each other.

He knew Wen Yu's personality very well.

Although she looked gentle and charming on the surface, she was actually very tyrannical, unreasonable, and easily jealous.

Wen Yu was raised by the Gong Family like a princess ever since she was a child. She enjoyed having a sense of superiority and being in the center of attention where everyone admired her and looked up to her. In front of him, she was always a well-mannered, gentle, obedient, pretty, and sensible little sister.

However, he was well aware of what Wen Yu had done to those women who tried to woo him throughout the years.

At the thought of this, he realized that he still hadn't seen Ji Younai yet.

He suddenly felt a sense of uneasiness.

"Bai Feiran, throw away all the clothes in this room that had been thrown onto the floor, as well as the ones that Wen Yu touched. Get someone to buy new ones that are identical."

Gong Siyu commanded coldly.

Wen Yu looked at Gong Siyu in disbelief, as if she had suffered a huge blow.

With tears in her eyes, Wen Yu suddenly stepped forward to grab Gong Siyu's arm. "Brother Siyu, you're angry with me, aren't you?"

She continued, "You're upset that I started dating Brother Siyi and neglected your feelings. I know that you've always been at odds against Brother Siyi, and I've also heard that you got injured previously. Has your injury healed yet?"

While speaking, Wen Yu touched Gong Siyu's chest fumblingly, seemingly trying to find his wound.

"No, it's not like what you think. Actually... I did not get together with Brother Siyu. I just wanted to spite you because I heard Grandpa and Grandma saying that they want you to marry the eldest daughter of the An Family, but Brother Siyu, Grandpa said that he would let me marry you. Why did everything change after we grew up?"

Gong Siyu's face was expressionless, and his mind was filled with just one question. Where is Ji Younai?

He pulled Wen Yu, who was continuously pestering him, away from his body.

He quickly sped down the stairs in the mansion.

He saw the servants who were all gathered in the dining hall of the mansion and getting busy.

As soon as he saw the butler, he hollered, "Where's Ms. Ji!?!"

The butler seemed a little hesitant when Gong Siyu asked that question.

Gong Siyu's heart tensed up, and he was suddenly overwhelmed with fear. He was scared to hear the answer.

"Young... Young Master, Ms. Ji... left, alone, this afternoon."

When the old butler saw the furious expression on Gong Siyu's face which appeared immediately, he had an ominous hunch. He thought, 'I knew it, Old Mrs. Yang and Ms. Wen caused trouble!'

He hurriedly pulled out a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket.

The butler placed it in Gong Siyu's hand and said, "Ms. Ji left a note behind, and she wants me to hand it to you."

Gong Siyu's heart tensed up, and he felt extremely uncomfortable.

'Little one is gone.'

'She's thin and frail, with no one to accompany her and no one to take care of her. She left by herself just like that?'

With his face turning pale, Gong Siyu unfolded the crumpled paper.

It was the first time he had ever seen Ji Younai's handwriting. It was beautiful and neat.

However, the content made him slip into a crestfallen rage.

"Gong Siyu, you lied to me. You already have a girlfriend. Forget it, I don't blame you, but I'm going to leave now."

'Girlfriend!'

'What girlfriend!?!'

As soon as Gong Siyu finished reading the note, the flustered and dispirited Wen Yu reached the dining hall in tears after chasing him for a while.

Sensing that there was someone behind him, Gong Siyu turned around expressionlessly with a touch of grim and viciousness in his narrow eyes. However, his tone was calm, and he sneered while holding the note in his hand.

"Wen Yu, come on, tell me who told Ji Younai that you're my girlfriend."

Startled, Wen Yu cringed in shock. She knew that Gong Siyu was about to fly into a rage.

However, at this moment, Granny Yang happily stepped into the dining hall with a pot of chicken soup.

Seeing that Gong Siyu and Wen Yu were both present, she quickly greeted, "Young Master, you must be glad that Ms. Wen is back! Look at the dishes I've prepared today to welcome her home. Young Master, Ms. Wen, please have a seat and start eating!"

Gong Siyu saw that Wen Yu seemed to have a guilty conscience as her eyes darted away, and she did not say anything. He turned to look at Granny Yang. He knew that Granny Yang had been taking care of Wen Yu ever since she was a child and hence, had always doted on her. However, she disliked Ji Younai.

"Yang Ping, tell me, where did Ms. Ji go?"

Granny Yang was shocked to hear Gong Siyu calling her by her full name. After hearing that he was asking about Ji Younai's whereabouts, she suddenly discovered that all the servants in the mansion, including the butler, were all shaking their heads at her. Even Wen Yu was crying.

Sensing that something was wrong, she hurriedly began to explain and cook up lies.

"Ms. Ji? Ms. Ji left! She left on her own and refused to stay even though Ms. Wen and I tried to stop her. We had no choice but to let her leave."

Gong Siyu's lips were tensed up, and he clenched his fists. He seemed to be at the end of his patience.

He walked to the long table in the dining hall and looked at the sumptuous spread for dinner.

He abruptly gripped the white tablecloth with gold hems and pulled it forcefully while the dishes were still resting upon it on the table!

Instantly, there were ear-splitting sounds of countless crockery and soup pots falling to the ground and shattering.

Wen Yu was so frightened that she screamed while the servants in the mansion did not dare to even breathe.

"I hate being lied to! You people actually ganged up to lie to me!"

"Brother Siyu!"

Wen Yu cried because she was too frightened by Gong Siyu's uncontrollable rage. "Why are you being so furious? I didn't say I was your girlfriend. Don't accuse me. She just left. What's the big deal?"

"Must you be so angry? You were never like this before. You would've never treated me like this in the past!"

"You must have said a lot of things to her to make her get the wrong idea that you and I are in a relationship, didn't you?"

Gong Siyu laughed coldly and glowered at Wen Yu sternly.

Except for Bai Feiran, all the people in the house were culprits who had caused Ji Younai to leave him!

"Bai Feiran!" Gong Siyu barked with anger written all over his face.

"Young Master?"

"Go! Get someone to pack all of Wen Yu's belongings and chase her back to Gong Siyi's home!"

He then shot Granny Yang a threatening glance and said, "Yang Ping, you're going to leave with her. Don't you dote on Wen Yu a lot and detest Ji Younai?"

"Brother Siyu, I'm not going back to Brother Siyi's home! He fools around with women every day. I don't want to go back!"

"Ah! So you only came to my place because Gong Siyi is seeing other women. Wen Yu! Do you think this is a place where you can do whatever you want!?!"

Gong Siyu flew into a rage.

Wen Yu was crying uncontrollably, and she even passed out in the end.

The servants swarmed forward to help Wen Yu up, but she seemed to have lost her consciousness.

Gong Siyu did not care, and he simply took out his cellphone to continuously dial Ji Younai's mobile number.

There was no answer.

She never picked up.

"Young Master, I'll send someone to locate Ms. Ji's mobile phone. We should be able to find her."

As if he had seen a glimmer of hope, Gong Siyu immediately told Bai Feiran to go ahead with the arrangements.

"What about Ms. Wen?"

"She won't die crying. When she wakes up, send her back to Gong Siyi's place."

Gong Siyu gave instructions expressionlessly. At the same time, he saw that soon after he spoke, Wen Yu clenched her fists tightly under her sleeve. She was conscious and did not faint at all.

She was just trying to feign illness to gain sympathy.

'Wen Yu, you've disappointed me greatly.'
