Chapter 12 - 012 Graduation Ceremony

June 28 was the day before summer vacation, and it was also graduation day for the current year's graduates.

To prepare for this day, the freshman and sophomore students had been mobilized yesterday.

They spent the entire day bustling around, hanging all sorts of banners all over the school. From the school gate to the auditorium, the whole place was extravagantly decorated!

Additionally, the freshman and sophomore students were arranged to be background extras at the school for the day.

They stood in the classroom corridors, and on both sides of the red carpet that stretched from the school gate to the auditorium.

They either held flowers or banners.

And all this arrangement was for the graduation ceremony of the senior students.

Or rather, it was all for the graduation ceremony of the three outstanding senior students who had been admitted to Summoner University.

The graduation ceremony officially began at eight in the morning.

The top-class students, who had not been seen at school for months, arrived at the school gate in a special car right at eight. The car door opened.

A group of three girls and two boys stepped out of the car first.

Welcomed by the school leaders, they stepped onto the red carpet with 55 top-class students and their various summoned beasts. They walked from the school gate to the auditorium amidst the exclamations and admiring gazes of the ordinary students.

At that moment, the three senior students admitted to Summoner University were the absolute focus.

All the attention was on them.

Even the school leaders seemed insignificant in their presence.

As an onlooker, it wasn't until this moment that Lu Wu truly realized what it meant to be admitted to Summoner University.

For the students in this world, being admitted to Summoner University was nearly equivalent to getting into the top two universities in his previous life.

Even more so!

It was also then that he fully understood the nature of the goal he had set for himself.

This realization suddenly made Lu Wu feel a heavy pressure, but it also made him more determined!

It's just Summoner University, right?

I'll do it!

He didn't believe that as a member of the Transcendence Party, a member with enhancements, he couldn't overcome this challenge!

As his emotions surged and his determination soared, Lu Wu kept his eyes on the summoned beasts of the top-class senior students.

Since the top-class seniors had not been at school before, he hadn't had the chance to interact with their summoned beasts, nor did he know their capabilities.

Seeing them now, Lu Wu especially wanted to check them out.

To see the level of the top-class seniors' summoned beasts, and the level of the senior girls who got into Summoner University!

Of course, Lu Wu couldn't just rush up and start examining them.

Doing so would definitely earn him a beating.

So, until the graduation ceremony was over, Lu Wu could only stand by obediently as a background extra, watching the rather tiresome ceremony with boredom.

Lu Wu wondered why those school leaders had so much to say.

They stretched a graduation ceremony into three to four hours!

With constant praise and speeches, it was almost noon when the ceremony finally ended.

After enduring until the ceremony ended, Pang Duddu was about to take out the lunch box she had hidden and prepared all morning, only for Lu Wu to beat her to it.

"Watch this for me!"

Lu Wu placed Little Skeleton next to Pang Duddu and ran towards the senior girls from the top-class.

Yes, the senior girls!

Lu Wu had no intention of talking to the senior boys!

It wasn't Lu Wu's fault—those senior boys were always particularly aloof towards him, glaring at him unfriendly!

In contrast, the senior girls were much warmer.

They were pretty, nice to talk to, and especially gentle.

As soon as Lu Wu approached, he effortlessly mingled with the senior girls, even drawing in the three girls who were admitted to Summoner University.

This scene deeply stung the male students watching from the sidelines, making them wish they could kick Lu Wu away and replace him.

Naturally, many female onlookers felt similarly, though they weren't interested in replacing Lu Wu.

This was the advantage of being plain and ordinary.

The girls didn't care if Lu Wu's summoned beast was a Little Skeleton, whether he had potential or talent, or whether he was decent or not. To them, it only mattered that he was plain and spoke nicely!

Lu Wu had initially intended just to examine the attributes of the senior girls' summoned beasts.

Unexpectedly, the senior girls were so enthusiastic that Lu Wu, with nothing to lose, joined them for lunch.

While examining the attributes of their summoned beasts, he also gathered information about the top-class and high school league from the senior girls.

Thanks to Lu Wu's plain face,

the senior girls answered his questions in detail.

Lu Wu not only got the information he wanted but also obtained the contact details of over a dozen senior girls from the top-class, including those of the three admitted to Summoner University.

Afterward, Lu Wu even borrowed a top-class textbook from one of the senior girls, feeling highly rewarded.

While Lu Wu was thrilled with his gains, Pang Duddu felt very downcast.

She held the lunch box she had spent almost two hours making in one hand and her family's pig in the other. She sat in a remote corner of the school cafeteria with Little Skeleton, fighting back fear and hunger.

Watching Lu Wu surrounded by the senior girls, Pang Duddu felt uncomfortable and resentful.

But she didn't dare say anything or wander off.

Little Skeleton was Lu Wu's summoned beast and couldn't stray too far from him. She feared that if she moved too far, Lu Wu would be upset.

She didn't even dare eat.

Although she saw Lu Wu eating with the senior girls, what if Lu Wu wasn't full and wanted to eat her lunch box when he returned?

Lu Wu had mentioned yesterday that he would try her cooking today.

Even though she knew he probably just said it in passing and had already forgotten,

she was worried that if she ate first, she wouldn't be able to share it with Lu Wu later.

So she could only endure her hunger, squatting by the side and waiting for Lu Wu.

Occasionally, she glanced over, worried that Lu Wu would leave without her, making Little Skeleton too distant from him.

And she waited like this for two hours.

It wasn't until two hours later, when Lu Wu contentedly said goodbye to the senior girls and sat in the cafeteria daydreaming,

that Pang Duddu dared to approach cautiously after repeatedly confirming that Lu Wu was done.

Even then, she didn't dare to disturb the daydreaming Lu Wu, sitting quietly by his side, waiting for him to notice her.

...

Thanks to [Tai Bungui], [True I Lin Feng's Eye], [Book Friend 20191209003743897], [Reborn Lu Bu], [Ming Yunzi] for the reward support!

If I didn't mention it, you'd have likely escalated the votes for Little Skeleton. In that case, I'll get some votes for Dudu and let Lu Wu end up at the bottom!
