Chapter 4 - 004 Goblin (Request for recommendation vote)

Quan City, An Family District, inside Lu Wu's room.

It was already midnight, and Lu Wu was still busy at his computer.

However, instead of playing games, Lu Wu was busy researching.

Yes, researching!

Of course, not the kind of research you might be thinking of.

Lu Wu was a respectable person, so he was researching respectable materials.

In his previous studies on the Golden Finger, Lu Wu had temporarily dismissed the idea of monster killing and energy charging.

Without the mainstream methods related to the attribute board, such as adding points to cheat, Lu Wu had no choice but to try other approaches.

For example, the knowledge flow!

At this moment, he considered the attribute board he saw as an intuitive manifestation of his own understanding.

In simple terms, he hypothesized that the attributes he saw in Little Skeleton were those understood by him or his predecessor.

For instance, he knew Little Skeleton was called Little Skeleton, so the name on the attribute board was Little Skeleton.

He knew Little Skeleton's attribute was Undead, so Little Skeleton's attribute on the board was Undead.

What he knew appeared on the attribute board.

Of course, there were things he didn't know, such as quality, power, and weaknesses.

Lu Wu temporarily ignored those.

He first assumed that the attribute board only displayed attributes he knew and were real.

Under such a circumstance, because he didn't know how to enhance Little Skeleton's attributes, he couldn't improve Little Skeleton's quality.

To improve Little Skeleton's quality, Lu Wu had to understand how to enhance it.

If he figured out how to enhance Little Skeleton's quality, perhaps the function of quality enhancement could be triggered.

This was Lu Wu's current hypothesis about the attribute board.

Whether this hypothesis was true or not, Lu Wu didn't know.

But with no other options in sight, this was the direction worth trying for Lu Wu.

So, after confirming this direction, Lu Wu began to go through the books left by his predecessor, searching for knowledge on training Little Skeleton or improving its quality.

However, there was no content on this subject in his predecessor's books.

On one hand, because high school hadn't yet taught this, and on the other hand, because his predecessor hated studying and didn't have many books about Summoned Beasts.

Having no choice, Lu Wu turned his hopes to the internet, hoping to find some methods for training or enhancing Little Skeleton's quality online.

However, when Lu Wu began entering queries like "Little Skeleton Training Guide" and "Little Skeleton Quality Enhancement" on the computer,

the search results had nothing to do with Little Skeleton.

There was very little information related to skeletons even.

One reason was that people generally considered Little Skeletons worthless for cultivation, and another reason was that Lu Wu took a long time to figure out.

It turned out that this world valued knowledge immensely.

Especially experienced and knowledgeable insights about Summoned Beasts, these were considered precious treasures.

To obtain this knowledge, one needed to purchase it from specialized websites.

Of course, there were also some free resources, but useful free resources were scarce. Nonetheless, under Lu Wu's efforts, he did manage to dig up a somewhat useful piece of knowledge.

It was a Little Skeleton training guide.

This guide was the result of a Summoner's painstaking research over a few years.

The guide's purpose was merely to allow Little Skeleton to function normally.

It was far from Lu Wu's expectations of training Little Skeleton, improving its quality, or even making it master skills.

But for now, this was the only somewhat useful thing Lu Wu could find.

"Forget it; let's learn this first, and I'll check the school library tomorrow."

With that, Lu Wu started studying the training guide.

Unexpectedly, Lu Wu found that his memory had seemingly improved significantly.

This guide was only one to two thousand words, and he memorized it after just one reading, which pleasantly surprised him: "Photographic memory? Not a bad skill; with this ability, my academic scores will be easy to improve."

Meanwhile, Lu Wu touched Little Skeleton to see if there were any changes in its attributes after he read the training guide.

The result, of course, was none!

Lu Wu wasn't disappointed, knowing he hadn't actually started the work yet.

"First, let's follow this training guide through and see, hoping there can be some attribute changes after training."

"Hmm, the training guide said bones are needed as auxiliary materials for assistance. I don't have materials right now; I'll buy a bone at the market on the way to school tomorrow. It's getting late now, time to sleep!"

Saying this, Lu Wu turned off the computer, took off his clothes, lay down on the bed, and closed his eyes to sleep.

Yet he couldn't fall asleep.

Today's events had hit him hard, and his mind was in a state of excitement.

Moreover, having a skeleton by his bedside, looking particularly menacing in the moonlight, made it difficult for Lu Wu to sleep.

With no other choice, Lu Wu moved Little Skeleton to the corner of the room.

Without Little Skeleton in sight, Lu Wu finally fell asleep after some tossing and turning.

The next morning.

After quickly washing up, Lu Wu packed his bursting schoolbag and took Little Skeleton to school.

Initially, Lu Wu didn't plan on bringing Little Skeleton, but since it couldn't stay far from him, he had no choice but to bring the little tagalong.

As soon as Lu Wu and Little Skeleton stepped out of the door, they bumped into his childhood friend.

This time, it wasn't Pang Duddu; it was the other one, Old Lin, who didn't go home with them yesterday.

Old Lin's full name was Lin Jianying. Although he wasn't as plain-looking as Lu Wu, he was quite a tall and handsome young man, just a bit cold in demeanor.

Standing beside this young man was a goblin about five feet tall, dressed in rags and armed with a machete, his Summoned Beast, which looked imposing compared to Lu Wu's tugging Little Skeleton.

Lin Jianying looked slightly embarrassed.

He hadn't expected to run into Lu Wu. He had intentionally gotten up early to avoid him but still met him.

With no choice, he nodded awkwardly and hurried away. Passing by Lu Wu, he seemed to want to say something but didn't utter a word.

Obviously, Lin Jianying had mixed feelings, while Lu Wu didn't feel as complicated.

He even casually touched Lin Jianying's goblin to check its attributes.
