I think it was best I kept her close. My wolf wasn't happy with me only thinking of our mate as someone who could just gives us information and nothing else. After the meeting which told us that we have to move out on the Hera Pack later tonight. I changed my shirt and pants into a sleeveless and sweatpants to take a run to stretch. I stepped out of the room and there was Julia in her sweats also.
"Are you going jogging?" She asked. I just looked at her as she looked expectantly up at me. She was shorter than I was but I could see the determination burning in her eyes. So when we got a certain distance we changed into our wolf forms stripping form out clothes. My eyes began to shine golden as my wolf tried to emerge. She was beautiful with her blue eyes and Dark brown coat it complimented my black coat nicely my wolf was happy to finally be able see his mate's coat. I flexed my muscles and prepared to run. I sprint off feeling my power as I kicked back some dust. It was good to get out of that stuffy place. My heart was beating unusually fast as I looked back and saw my mate following behind me trying to keep pace. I forgot how weak normal wolves were. I fought the notion of slowing down for her but when I no longer sensed her behind me I stopped my wolf panicked. He took the reins and turned us around, then a scent caught my nose. IT was hers but also a few others. When they came into view I saw two ginger wolves and on grey wolves. The Riven pack what were they doing so far out here? I wandered. My wolf got furious when he saw that there were circling his mate. I found myself jumping in roaring as my wolf's over protectiveness came out. They didn't cower in fear was I not big enough?
I smirked to myself as I knew these mutts were being a tad bit too cocky. To kill or not to kill I asked my self claws digging into the ground as I ran at the first ginger wolf. I took him down and placed a paw on his next choking him. He let out a hoarse whine before breathing his last breathe. By now there others were on my back biting a scratching me to stop. It felt like when little kid hits you and thinks it hurts. I flung them off me and circle them waiting for them to decide when it was their time to die. One lunged but not at me but towards Julia. They rolled on the floor both vicious I was about to help them but the grey wolf, Delayed me. He was much stranger than the first. His claws were sharp and so were his canines. It was as if he'd gotten stronger in just a few seconds. What were they feeding them in the Riven pack?
His eyes glowed a crimson red. Part vampire? I questioned but wasn't able to process it as he finally attacked. He didn't head straight for my neck as I thought he would instead he aimed for my front legs. Smart I smiled. I had a worthy opponent but he wasn't the only ones who had a super buff. My eyes began to glow as I felt extra power surge through my body. I fur began to stand as electricity radiated moving from my back down to my paws. We both charged at each other adrenaline easing the pain he'd afflicted previously. He was soon on the ground as the electricity rush through his body as he trembled and shook. If he didn't die he wouldn't be able to walk.
I turned around just as the ginger was about to give the killing blow to Julia. I rushed a bit into his neck before he could hurt her farther. Her breathing was labored a blood was oozing from he side.
I turned into human form not caring that I was naked and picked her massive frame. She was heavier than I thought but nothing my super strength couldn't handle. I headed back with her in my arms.
