Clarity's P.O.V
I yawned as I shut off my alarm and hurriedly got dressed to get breakfast and fight off the invading monsters.
Normally the mountains were quite peaceful but now invasions were frequent and I couldn't even find out why because I had to protect my territory. I finished eating and went outside.
As I expected, swarms of flying harpies and shadow griffins were flying towards the mountains. I sighed and took out my daggers while preparing to meet them in air.
I expanded my wings and took flight. Normally this would've shocked them, a human flying in the air, but they've gotten used to it. I smiled lightly and flew towards them.
After disabling them and leaving them for the animals that lived in the mountains, I looked at the horizon, expecting a black shadow to be hovering over New York. It's been there for a while, and I was exceptionally curious. The only thing stopping me was the animals who lived here.
I had to protect them, although... maybe I was endangering them more by staying here? A presence appeared behind me,
"Mother.. so you've come at last."
I turned around and beamed, she smiled softly and nodded,
"It's time to go my dear"
"Of course.. the mythologists can't do anything by themself."
She shook her head despairingly,
"Please do not hold that attitude against them when you arrive.."
I nodded reluctantly,
"Yes mother.. after all who would I be to deny your request.."
She nodded thankfully and made a shooing gesture,
"Well off you go now."
I smiled and spread my wings, taking flight towards the camp.
