ALISON BIT HER LIP HARD. It couldn't be true. It couldn't be her blood that would help Killian. The thought of him sinking his teeth again into her neck, drinking from her to ease his suffering, was appalling.
"So Grayson has to offer his blood willingly. The Ritual will be completed, Grayson will not be harmed, and everyone else will be left alone for fear of Grayson's wrath. You will be left alone and unchanged, too."
"Why can't Grayson just kill Killian before the ceremony?"
"It seems more than likely that Killian has others watching you, and your loved ones, with the intent to kill if something happens to disrupt the Ritual. Killian will make sure you suffer in some way or another. Grayson is not going to risk that."
