ALISON WASN'T SURE HOW GRAYSON KNEW WHERE THEY WERE GOING, but she trotted along obediently as they cut through few side streets before finding one of the city's main roads. There were other passersby on the sidewalks around them, and Alison noticed several of them giving Grayson cautious looks out of the corner of their eyes as they passed by. It wasn't exactly one of the small towns where everybody knew everybody, but it was small enough that people knew an outsider when they saw one. Alison was surprised she hadn't seen anybody she knew for the last couple of times here. After all, she'd gone to school in town for years.
She also could help but notice a few young women sneaking glances at Grayson, too. Alison did not lose the admiring glint in their eyes on her, and she tried to remain calm. Getting possessive for no reason would only worsen the situation, and it wasn't Grayson's fault that they noticed his looks.
