"I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT," she muttered, feeling the lump in her throat. Just like that, Alison felt like she couldn't be around him any longer. She felt dizzy, and her energy remained severely depleted now. Alison just wanted to crawl upstairs and pass out, and she began to do just that, taking plodding steps but stopped abruptly when something vital wrapped around her forearm.
Alison spun backwards a bit, glancing down. Grayson's hand rested there, sending warm tingles shooting up and down her spine. He was looking at her with the same intense expression.
"I know you're drunk and tired, and I know you are angry with me. I don't expect you to talk to me now, but I need to explain myself. Just give me a chance."
For a moment, she hesitated, even though she already knew she would cave in. Alison couldn't stay away from him, and she wanted to hear him.
